Scotland Gathering, July 24 2010

Postby BigErch » Sun 06.06.2010, 23:06

Hi,

This is an open invitation for members of LEC to come up to Scotland for the Weekend of 24 & 25 July 2010.
I'm holding a BBQ and other events for the Aberdeenshire chapter of Club Lotus and It'd be great to see some of you guys up here too. It's been a while since we had a big Scottish get together. Calendar was always a good laugh and well attended by the LEC motley crew!

Here are some details - http://www.gairnshiellodge.co.uk/lotusbbq2010.htm

I have a restricted number of rooms and it's first come first served.
Plenty of ground for tents (or Caravans  )
Just bring your lotus, a towel/toothbrush and some booze and we'll provide the bacon rolls in the mornings and a BBQ on the Saturday night.

Hope to see you all soon, Arch

Trackday? Feeble excuse Monty, get yerself and Dico up here. The roads around here are fantastic - it's like one big track with hillclimbs thrown in for good measure :-D
I'll even make a curry - I know how u boys like your curries (just make sure you throw up outside! )

Yeah, unfortunately that's the only weekend the lodge is free this summer. It's a shame it clashes with such a big event.

Good luck with it Arch. Just can't make plans that far ahead at the mo, with the High Court beckoning.

So have you got a lodge-ful yet, Archie?
    You & Justine
    Me & Maggie
    Ron & Gloria
Several of the club Lotus Aberdeen lot (Esprits, Elan +2, Excel)?
    M400K
    Andy J

Any rooms left for prospective attendees or just camping left?

Looking forward to it, especially if you can arrange for some weather like the past few days.

Hi John, there's one room left with 3 single beds (non-ensuite). Stevo might be taking our caravan but I'll have to chase him to find out.
I'm not sure who's comming from Aberdeen Lotus Club - I'll send another email next week.
There's a few cars comming from "the lotus forums" and a few from the "lotus drivers club".
Hopefully I'll get a firmer idea of numbers next week once I make a few phone calls. I'm right in the middle of a corporate week with Acergy right now so I'm up to my eyes in it.

cheers, Arch

Archie- as you know, I'll be at Silverstone this coming w/e racing with Nick Mason and Chris Rea. I will be thinking of you all however - huddled under umbrella's and bitten to death by midges whilst the sausages turn to charcoal on the BBQ ;-)

Looking forward to seeing your new toy sometime. Your Lotus collection is gathering momentum - an Esprit for Dad and an M100 each for the twins. When does Justine get a look in :?:

Silverstone aint that bad is it?

I have been told to sell the green one!
It looks like we should have a good turn-out, from real Elans  from the 60's to no less than 2 Evoras. Good to see a good show of M100's (I know who my friends are :poke: )
Enjoy your sawdust burgers at Silvertone - it's Sirloin Steaks in buns up here pal!
Have a great time, and pop in for a dram soon. Arch

That was the first year I did it. The following year I shared the smallest two man tent in the world - single skinned and it chucked it down!

John, you'll be really impressed to hear i've invested a whole £20 in my very own quality tent from tesco :-)
