I intend on bringing along a selection of ales for everyone.

A BBQ sounds good as well. :-D

attleborough would probably be your best bet for stocking up on essentials, one main street with parking at sainsburys, two petrol stations and plenty of take aways and an easy one way system to get you back to the A11.

One good point with Snetterton is you should not end up with mud as the soil there is very sandy, mind you it can be a bit open and can get windy let hope it is brighter tomorrow.

Wet inside and out

Fantastic day (weekend for some of us!) but cold to the bone after 2 nights camping in mid summer

I left today at 3pm after the old F1 cars did their stints and the current F1 did his :D Needed to get nearer the equator!

Home by 4pm so missed the normal queues to get out and at Thetford. Convoyed to Stortford with rip and J8 BRA and for some of the way with another Calypso and an Elise.

Great weekend with good friends old and new!

rip, ShaunM, G.UK, Steve A and Lesley, Corkynine and his lady, daveA and Phil, Bob and Caroline, Paul69, Mike(mPX) and more TLF/LEF mates Dave and Megan Freeman, Bibs and Laura, Rocket and Sarah, Owen GT3, GKP, Kimbers, etc etc. Apologies if I've forgotten to mention you!

So many proper Lotus faces there can't even begin to list them.

Yeah, good turnout, Elans dotted all over the place, and I was omly in the general Lotus parking area. It was the normal Snetterton weather though - cold.

Sounds like we left at pretty much the same time as Dave Eds. The further west we went the warmer it got,we eventually stopped to take the roof off as it was so hot-typical!
Thanks to everyone for a great weekend (in spite of the cold, wind, sleet & rain) but can anyone explain why the case to our cooker has gone awol!!!!! :-D

A nice day out despite the weather and I wonder how often you get to see so many Lotus F1 cars in one place at one time never mind on the track.

LEC Peeps We too were herded to the main Lotus CP - mind that was good. located up against the fence near the chicane next to two yellow Elans.
We also had the pleasure of a J reg Pacific Blue(?) SE Pink Hat passenger) all the way home ( lost each other around Diss) until we lost them at A120 when they zoomed off.
It was a great day despite the cold wind - I like being a Lotus Owner Driver

I enjoyed the weekend.
Saturday was cold with frequent short showers.
Sunday was cold & dry..then warmed up quickly about 10 minutes before Dave Eds & I left :?
The festival itself was good. The highlight was the selection of F1 cars, many of which did exhibition laps, including the current car driven by the team's test driver.

:D A good weekend outing, some highs and lows, loved the old F1 cars driven by Jarno and Heikki, when they were having a tussle it was brilliant!
The weather forecast was a let down as was the football  nobody was prepared for either :?
On Saturday we were constantly tormented by the wind and the rain but we were soon cheered up by the evening entertainment and plenty of alcohol
It was good to meet up with old friends and a few new ones, we should have arranged a Sunday meeting time and place so we could meet a few more
With 10000 + people it's easy to miss people, hindsight is a wonderful thing
Looking forward to the next event, don't know about camping though Lesley's just burnt the tent

Well its summer down here in Somerset so I set off in shorts and flip flops that have been my regular garb for the last few weeks. B****y h**l its cold in Norfolklaska - somebody turned the sun off when I reached the M11!

Still glad I did it. Awesome to see and hear all those F1 cars. Too busy watching to take any pics of them, but the other races kept the interest up and the mind off the frostbite.
I met this guy (Joss Ronchetti) on the Sunbeam Lotus stand at the last NEC Classic show - a class act, 2009 champ.

a dab of oppo?

He won the heritage race against allcomers from Escorts to Astons. Including this type 47

One of the Astons didn't seem to include a door catch!

Great to meet Paul69 and spend some time with Spud and Rip. Hitting the road at 4am to get there wasn't that pleasant...but I had an excellent run, and given the weather I'm sure glad I wasn't camping! :D

As others have said had a great day met some old friends , made some new ones MPX... i did think you had lost the plot in the shorts until explained that you come from sunny somerset... ha ha

We should have orgainised a meeting point for a beer as most of you.... i did,nt see

MPX i no Ross well, we use the same rolling road, he used to use another pal of mines rollers Peter baldwin, until he pushed over the 300 hp limit, that 902 motor in the sunbeam is putting out 310 bhp, at 2.6 capacity ,, he was telling me he sent the crank away and when it came back the engine builder said we can get another 2kg of that!! i thought id, mention , that he,s building a new 2.8 stroked motor hoping to get 350 hp out of that one, so when he gets it rollered i,ll try and get some video and post on u tube.. :D :D

A great day, a big dissapointment that the type 38 indy car did not show, evidently, according to a Classic Team Lotus guy, Ford changed their mind and decided that the only showing in Europe will be at Goodwood FoS, b.......ds.
