well done RBR and Lotus

RBR are both at the front....and Lotus are at the front of 2 virgins and the rest of the new boys section....by about at least half a second too

should be a good race tomorrow...:)

Wouldn't mind being in front of 2 virgins myself ;-) Let's hope that there is some racing, overtaking and excitement tomorrow. Bring back re-fuelling - at least there was a chance of some action

I think you've got you're wish... crashes...overtaking...and the Virgins have gone to bed early...

Shame about Trulli... :(

Yep, heckuvarace! There was enough excitement to keep me awake until 1AM to watch the whole thing. Jarno's issue appears to be a failed hydraulic pump but a 13th place finish is still a finish. Even David Hobbs commented Lotus looked like they had found a bit of speed compared to Bahrain. Slow steady progress from our newborn team. I can't wait to see how they're received in Malaysia.

I disagree "Don't risk it, we'll pass him at the pit stop".
Good riddance to re-fuelling. It means any passing needs to be done on-track.

At last - a proper race with thrills and spills. I was beginning to think it was more exciting watching Monty and Nige take on the Elises at Donington ;-)

Go Lotus....

brilliant day for Q2...

Hammered the Virgins, faster than the Ferrari's

and it's not a late April fool....

One Lotus ahead of Button on the grid, the other ahead of Hamilton...........

I think it's time for a single:

Hmmm.

Good job I only went for one:

17th and 18th? Last of the finishers and first of the non-finishers. Beaten by a Virgin and two HRTs.

Lets face it, the T127 looks like a truck, and is seriously in need of some upgrades to keep the Virgin in sight (until it runs out of petrol  ) and the HRT ( ) behind as it's a Dalarra. Mike Gascoigne has done a brilliant job to get them on the grid, now he has the unenviable job of running before he should be walking to close the gap on the established teams.

Anyway, now the Malaysian GP is over, they can take that flag off the car - 1Malaysia has done it's one GP of the year, Lotus Racing can concentrate on the other 18. Don't knock it, they provided the money...

I'm sure I heard mention that there are some major improvements to the car due for Barcelona.

Despite having problems on both cars in Malaysia pushing them behind the Virgins and HRT's they are still the quickest of the new boys and I would be hoping to see them catching up with Sauber and Toro Rosso throughout this year as they find there feet and learn the car.

Not all teams will be affected by this but I read this morning that the new downforce-generating mirrors have been outlawed because they vibrate too much & obscure the view.
Apparently they need to be mounted to the chassis again for the next race.

Ferrari get $100K fine & the result stands for blatant team orders.

I reckon they're laughing at the FIA. They probably made many times more than that from the 1-2 result.

FIA/Ferrari double standards are back. I'm sure any other team would have been slapped much harder.
