LH side, 5 hours, RH side: 45 minutes

Fits like a charm, and helpful tools!
However, when finished I have left 2 plastic thin rings and 2 CU rings, both of them not to be found in the original parts ???
And a few tips on bleeding the brakes (I replaced all hoses too) would come in handy

How come one side took 5 hours or was that just the learning curve?

I think the 2 plastic and the 2 copper rings go between the lever and the body on the dorman calipers which is where the kits were obtained from.
It is important that there is no free play in the shaft when the lever is installed and it is important that the lever moves freely, if there is free play in the shaft then the auto adjust mechanism will not work correctly.

As for bleeding the rears, I use a pressure bleeder but it should be the same with someone operating the pedal (down, hold, up) but getting all the air out of the rear piston internals is where I suspect the problem lies. I found the best way was to get to a point I had a pedal, all be it not as firm as I would have liked and then took the car for a short spin and then re bled the brakes or as some suggest tap the caliper with a hammer.

Yep, it was due to the good ole learning curve
There is no free play on the rears, but i noticed that the handbrake cables are now sloppy (as in too long) Can this be tackled by adjusting the cables from the lever side of things?
I'll get me hammer out

The cable adjustment is done under the center console, which is a bit of a pain.
You need to make sure that when adjusting the cables you take out the free play but no more as the levers should be on the stops when the handbrake is released.

I agree - I found it best to do a preliminary bleed with a pressure bleeder before fitting, which allowed me to elevate and rotate the caliper to help any trapped air out.

I haven't locktited anything yet so I presume I can remove the rears from the suspension to help things a little
