Has anyone tried the Bosch Pump as originally listed under part number 0130002070 from the USA (through a few places)? I need a new coolant pump, there seems to be a similar one on the american ebay under part number 0392020075 but not listed under rock auto.

Bump. My pump does not pump. Anyone tried this one?

Just bought one from Importec for $85 with free delivery in the lower US 48 states. You will have to reuse your inlet/outlet housing, as the housing that comes with the pump is designed for smaller hoses. Other than that, it's a direct replacement, including electrical connector. BTW, this is also used on 1991 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.6L models.

You may have to replace the fuse, it's a 5 amp located at the top left of the fuseblock under the binnicle cover on the drivers side (for Fed cars).

I needed one just over a year ago and Southern wotsit didn't have any - in fact I couldn't get one inthe UK at all.

In the end I bought a couple from the US.

Also, an exactly similar pump is used in a pre-facelift Omega - I put out a wanted ad via findapart and got two -sold both of them on for what they cost me - about £30 inc p&p

RS Focus pumps might be worth following up [EDIT: NO THEY'RE NOT!] - looks like they're designed as intercooler pumps from what I can find but the MB boys think that the Bosch ones are crap and recommend Johnson.

Good spot! Watch your pipe diameter, though.. .. but you could probably swap your existing pipe flange onto it

Jim said Omega part number was GM 9120117 - Google it e.g. VauxhallWorldParts in the UK and GM Parts Giant in the US.

LotusKa said Bosch 0130002070 - Google it e.g. Autohaus AZ and Importec in the US. Importec give the MB? part number as G3050-12429 which throws up loads of hits. Fitted to 1984-1989 Mercedes Benz 190D.

Found the Bosch technical website - check the Wiki later.

PS the Focus pump is a bum steer!

I ordered the Importec.com pump noted by Don Sladek. The price is up to $93.35; still the lowest I could find on an original-looking part. I've yet to find out if I'll have to install my old 19mm (3/4") impeller cover.

Forgot to say that Dave Bean wanted around $450 for the Lotus original part #. I can't remember the exact amount as I dismissed that option immediately.

Be sure to check your fuse as mine had blown, even though replacing it and restoring power to the motor didn't make it run except for about a quarter turn.

The hose fitting on the Importec Mercedes part has smaller hose fittings but the same impeller & case size. I'll swap the one from off my Lotus pump. I'm going to clearcoat the metal part of the electric motor so it'll stay nice and new looking.

I put on the Lotus housing with no problems. I used a little gasket-maker in the 90deg. corners of the plastic housings to further ensure against leaks. BTW, try to get the 4 screws started back into their threads, as the screws will have cut threads the first time they were mated to the plastic body. On one of the screws I failed to do so and it was much harder to drive the screw home, as it was cutting new threads into the plastic.

Although the motor said "Made in Germany" the plug still said "W.-Germany". German export law requires that “Made in West Germany” or “Made in W. Germany” or “Made in Germany” appear on parts made therein, although "Made in GDR" is no longer acceptable.
