Drivetrain problems

This happened a few nights ago...first to second...no second or any other gear..! can get all gears under bonnet,cables look fine only very small amount of play in each,after alot of faffing about all seemed well had gears

untill you drove hardish.then lost all again..any ideas?

Could you describe the symtoms again in more detail please...
Does the gearstick still move or lock in position?
if you lose the gears, what do you do to get a gear back?
I'd say you have a cracked gear change cable. (forward mount, where the circlip goes)

Thanks guys sorry for belated reply,been working

problem seems to be fixed now freed off both cables and adjusted till got all gears to work only thing differant now the gear stick looks like your in fourth when its actually neutrel

but it works

so leaving it alone just now...
