What can I use to replace the windshield upper corner covers

Hello all,

The corner covers for my windscreen are missing and I've heard that they are no longer available. Has anyone found a suitable replacement? Thanks.

It's part number a100B0661p.

They are the little plastic covers that go on the outside of the window.

Yep, they are exactly what I thought you meant. You're photo just beat me to saying what I thought you were after.

If you do find a replacement, Clarke, I'd be grateful if you could let me know. Both of mine are completely missing.

Just called my lotus dealer and they confirmed the parts are no longer available... Back to the drawing board...

The spares looked like they had to be cut out of a cheap bit of bent plastic I seem to remember - very angular and not rounded at all.

I know Dave Bean in the US has these in stock. I've ordered and used one. It came with cutting instrucitons for you to cut the shape out of the mould Geoff posted the pic of above. Not the best solution but its works if you need it.

All the original ones I've ever seen don't look like these. The originals are very smooth, rounded and sit almost flush, very neat.

Beggars can't be choosers though, I suppose.

They are not the original part. This is an injection molded hunk of plastic that you can cut to the the same size as the originals. The texture is different as noted above. The original's texture was very smooth much like the rest of the window trim seals. This has a speckled finish. Its not really noticeable from a distance. Then again, neither is an inch wide gouge in your paint if you're far enough away.............

I called and spoke with them last Tuesday and they had at least one in stock. For kicks I called the Lotus dealer in my area and after I gave them the "updated" part number (A100B0661F), they said it was still available for about $8 US. The original part, A100B0661P, is no longer available and they didn't automatically redirect me to the "F" part, I had to ask for it specifically.
