I realise that this is an unnecessarily pedantic post....but what exactlty is the point of continuing with this thread as is? I agree that the age profile is of potential interest, and how it changes over time of potential interest, but I dont see how we are getting anywhere near that. Since March 2007 we've been asked to sign up to an age bracket. There was another push in 2008 (guess what, at least some of us were a year older). Then there was a gap before another surge of interest since the Spring of 2010. During this time some (but not all) have posted that they revised their age. I suspect that noone that originally signed up but has since sold their car has dropped out of the list. So please either
- we do an annual rerun to get valid data, including drop outs.
- we at least do a new poll to sign up for year/decade of birth instead of age.
I'll get me coat.....

Forgive me for thinking like a professional computer programmer (which I is), but if we placed DOB, date-of-purchase & date-sold in the registration section we'd be able to compute up to the minute information of owners' current age, average age at purchase, and average length of ownership. If the member wished to leave any field blank they would simply not be tallied.
Strive for perfection in everything. (given time)
Take the best that exists & make it better. (given inclination)
If it doesn't exist, create it. (God did)
Ignore what I say. (good advice)

I'm 25 so that's another one for the young uns.
Love to know how much the 17-20 year old pays on insurance (not asking obviously) assuming they are UK based.
My car is 18 years old, so there is the distinct possibility that the youngest member is driving a car older than s/he is - would like to get this clarified.

What an excellent survey - I'm 62 ( just ! ) still have most of my hair - could pass for 61 from a distance ! 6'7" and a small size 12 in shoes - hope to get a red jumper and yellow scarf / matching check trousers for christmas so I can look almost identical to Rupert Bear ( albeit a very large Rupert ! ) when I drive by in my red Elan.
My Motto : grow old as disgracefully as you can and continue to go to music festivals until they refuse to let you in!

Hi gov, lovely sentiment, but without being rude, think you should 'ave gone to Specsavers if you think your Elan looks like Ruperts car.
