Hey Dave, I have your shortshift and really like it. Just wondering how it feels without the
weight, I like the short shift but the shift takes more effert then I like to get the shifter moving.

I think that without the weight, the tactile feedback from left to right will no longer be (pretty much) the same as fore / aft. :-D

I added the weight during development as it adds feel to the shift IMHO. I did cut it off once to see if it really did work as planned - quickly welded it back on. All a mater of taste I guess.

Haha! Actually I had the Everest Chip installed at the same time, so you're probably right! I don't have the stock brakes on the front, but at the same time there's no indication as to what brand of brakes they are either.

Hi all,
I tried to to ihstall the kit by myself and miserably failed.
With the control box still installed on the gearbox, I was unable to loosen the shift pin nut from the cross shaft selector arm.
Do you have any tips ? It may be easier with the control box out, but need to find a new joint, right ?
How did you guys managed to remove it, except bodybuiding ?
