Heated Windscreens

I have been talking to Wayne at Sinclaires this week and he mentioned if i would be interested in having a heated windscreen of the Elan. He has used a company to make them for the 340r and Elise/Exiges and has sold over 20 for the latter.

All he would do is send them a windscreen and they would copy it and include the fine wires into the laminate as it's made. The last one they did, the 340r was under £400. He is not sure how and if he intends going ahead with this as the tooling is over £1000 but wanted to know if there would be any interest?

ah...ok.....I didnt realise you could choose with insurance jobs.......
if thats the case....I'll need to think......not sure I can remember a time when Ive need the screen fan on for more than a minute once in a blue moon.......even on the cold/snow days I usually have it blowing on my feet as Ive got the top down






I suppose that if its on the insurance you might as well have all you can coz the excess you pay isnt going to change.....

As the interior mirror just fell off and the windscreen has now cracked, yes would be interested, could hold for a couple of months, but will be wanting to get the insurance to replace although dont mind paying a small premium.

Now just need to sort out the page from the parts manual to arm myself with for Autoglass!
