I'd rather be camping than slumming it at the Travelodge but there isn't an on-site pub at Donington unlike that at Malvern last year :drunk:

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Just had this email from CL about arrangements for camping at the showground.......

Hi Dave,

Apologies for this late reply but we've been waiting for Donington to
confirm the camping arrangements.

Anyway, what is being proposed is that for a nominal charge Donington will
provide showers and toilets on site. They've not confirmed how much the
'nominal' amount will be but I'm told it will be very reasonable. They've
also told me there will be hot food available on Saturday night.

You will not need to pre-book but just turn up on the day, pay the
required amount, find a spot and enjoy yourself!

If you keep an eye on our website the latest information will be posted
over the coming 3 months.

Best regards,

Alan

I'm favouring this option at the moment, anyone else feel like it?

I'm a bit miffed about this camping now as I would have much rather have done that than stay at the travelodge. Unfortunately I didn't know about it until after I booked the room!!!

Travelodge book 'by the room' not 'by the person', so if you want to get a familly in, it isn't a problem....

....or at least, I've 'upped' the occupancy in the past, and it hasn't cost me owt.

It'll be a BIT different - I won't be giving the safety brief. Someone else needs to take control of that bit. Why not set your alarm for a bit earlier Dave? I'm sure I've got an airhorn you can borrow! :-D

The Elise guys are gonna beat you up then...

You could try the Holiday inn... Bibs and Kimbers might call off the the LEF (LF), but I doubt it...

Play safe, a bit of camping or a bit of travel lodge action...
