Slow and jumping window repairs

Postby Rice crispy » Fri 20.05.2011, 19:40

Well been ignoring it for a while but need to get them sorted, the passenger window comes down ok but sticks halfway up and needs help to get to the top, and the drivers side jumps down the first bit an then sticks hear the bottom and doesthe sameon the way up (noticed that the window bobbin at the front on divers side is also missing or dropped into the door) so being a complete numpty and after reading the fun people have repairing them i think its best to get someone who knows what they are doing to fix them :D so is it something any competent mechanic will be able to do or is specialist help required ?

Took passenger door apart today and couldn't see anything wrong so put a little grease on the sliders replaced the speaker with an alpine 5.25 unit although existing one was also same size and looked fine. Also reconnected the door lock connecting rod. May have a go at drivers side butit looks like someone has glued the rubber strip to the door card :? I know the front slider is disconnected ? Assume the mirror has to come off to re connect it?
