As you say Sy, game on again! Great stuff. :-D Weather's looking quite favourable as well.

I'll try and be there as close to 8:00 as I can. Looking forward to meeting you all. Paul, it'll also be nice to see Mark's ex-Elan again, he and I were both on the Isle of man trip a couple of year's ago.

Ooooh an elanscan would be nice! Ta.

Ah well. Early to bed and early to rise.

See you all tomorrow.

Safely back in Wiltshire and It tipped down most of the way back home...

It was a pleasure to meet Roland, Paul and the Branch Secretary and his wife...

The chairman was quite adamant he wanted red, white and blue in honour of the Queens birthday, we didn't have the heart to tell him is was Green..

Anyway we raised a couple of squid for "Chardiee" AKA the Poppy Appeal.

Made the Bromsgrove Standard, a bit of puplicity for the club

The weather was Crackin right until the Beating of the retreat, so in honour we Beat our own retreat and "Did one"

And Specky's top tip of the day... Don't put the ignition on without checking the position of the windscreen wiper stalk, especially when you've got a poster stuck to the windscreen and a model Elan on the wiper arm...

Here's a couple of pictures...

Sy's Elan is just out of shot...About 4 miles out of shot

A nice sunny, if cold(ish), early morning drive down from Manchester to Bromsgrove, arriving just after eight o'clock.

A really good day and I was glad I made the effort. Great company throughout the day with Dave and Paul, as well as Sy popping over when time allowed. Additional thanks to Dave for the many fresh coffees and supply of jaffa cakes.

Set off home late afternoon when the cold winds/steady rain started and, amazingly, arrived back to a Manchester bathed in bright sunshine.

I think it's probably a good thing that your photos are in some depository to which my corporate firewall won't allow access!
Blimey, I've forgotten how to post images when I haven't got them on a site to link to...

Thanks Guys I really enjoyed my first Elan event and meeting you.
Thanks for all the information about the cars and a big thanks Dave for doing the Elanscan; I will be putting in an order for my own one soon soon. Thanks also for the coffee and jaffa cakes.
I looked at the Standard picture on the web and won't be getting a copy but will check the paper when it comes out on Friday. Your pictures were a lot better and I thought the full beauty of the Medina Green was captured in your pictures Roland.
Hope to see you at Donington.

Yes, the photo does make my RED Elan look somewhat pink.

To be fair, the photographer was having trouble with his camera at the time!

Mind you, can't really blame his camera for making us look plug ugly!

The frog enjoyed its first LEC outing in my ownership and met an old friend.
You will certainly be the first to know if I ever want to part with the frog but I am enjoying her very much and doubt that will change anytime soon. :D I am not good at parting with things and have just found storage for my old MGB so that I may get time in the future to do her up.
Maybe we will see you at Donington, if its not raining!

Hi Mark

All being well, I'll be at Donington on the Saturday. I'll look forward to meeting up with you again and reminiscing about that chinese restaurant and Roy Rogers! Yes, the partial respray has made quite a difference it being RED and all.

I'm certain Paul will be a great next owner of the frog. It was really good to see your ex car again.

Please pass my best regards on to Kay.
