North West/Manchester Sat 13th Micro Convoy to Donington

Did this in 2008 and 2009 and really enjoyed it as a great start to the day of visiting to the Lotus Show at Donington.

In 2009 a few Elans met up in Macclesfield and drove the Cat 'n Fiddle over to Buxton and then on to Donington Park Services for the main convoy. We met up in Macclesfield some time between 7 and 7:30 am, can't remember exactly and this got us to the services just before 9 am in good time to have a look around, locate friends and join the main convoy in. We even managed to pick up a couple of other Elans on the way.

Meeting up point is flexible depending on where people are coming from. Having said that, I'd still recommend the Cat 'n Fiddle route, despite the cameras it's a spectacular road and remains a "challenge" even at the 50mph limit.

So times and meeting up point to be confirmed. All are welcome.

It'll be good to meet up with you again (actually it was two years ago, how time flies!). At least now we might be able to call it a convoy, albeit a very small one!

Arrangements are that I'll be at Tesco, Macclesfield (Hibel Road), in the car park, just before 7AM, giving me time for a quick coffee and a chat if anybody's there at the same time. Then head off for the Cat 'n Fiddle some time between 7:15 and 7:30, on past Buxton and through to Donington Park Services arriving there at around 9:00 ish, hopefully in good time to have a bit of a look around and to join in with the main convoy.
