Normally picks up a little late on, but the general enthusiasn does seem to be lacking a little this year.
This section of the furm usually goes mad a week beffore the show. :(

There is no mention of colour coordination for this year's convoy. Where's Enright?

All things being equal, the convoy will be colour grouped.

LMAO, 100 Elans, not 100 cars!

That would have been a low turnout!

Is it me or does this feel to be a little more low-key than in previous years, in much the same way that Snetterton '11 didn't have the same buzz that it did in '09?

In the past, with less than a week to go, the convoy list is usually up to about 50-60 & the forum was really busy in anticipation of the event...but not this year.

It maybe a smaller group but it will still be a good gathering all the same, no need to be downbeat.

Maybe last years change of venue didn't help, maybe it's the school hols, who knows!

Anyone doing any track stuff on the Friday evening? £135 as detailed on SELOC newsletter.

In an attempt to boost the numbers of the convoy so that Iain isn't too disappointed (he could otherwise be wearing his Michael Jackson white gloves and be inside all weekend reffing snooker ffs!), I will be bringing with me one hundred locally sourced 36 inch plasma TVs (all in the boot of the Elan of course), one for each of the first one hundred Elan (M100 only) owners to arrive at the services, excluding myself of course as I don't really need another one. Working on a source of mobile phones for the next one hundred - watch this space!

(twisted irony smiley)

Happier now rippers?

If there is a silver lining to this awful cloud hanging over our nation, I might not now, because of my obsession with all things Lotus, miss the Spurs home game with Everton afterall.

(where's that smiley again?)

If things carry on like they are, I may be 'otherwise engaged' for the weekend :( (but i'm looking okay at the moment)....

....should i not be able to get there Dave, can you save me a telly - I'll swap it for a nice (slightly scratched) blueray player, a demonstartion model Blackberry and last years style Nike Air-max - size 8 ....

.....bloody muppets

On a serious note, over 1 million good citizens have signed up to facebook "support the Met Police" page (as well as a fair few of my colleagues) and many others are out there to repair the damage in the city centres - British community spirit at its best - Noli carborundum par astra illigitimi.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
