When will you be passing the Metro Centre?

It's Busy on Friday

I could join you then

PS where is Abington? Is it Ouston / Chester le street

I live in Chester le street

ps I drive from Aberdeen to chester le street every month from offshore, It usually takes me 4 hrs.

Abington services? I've stopped there many times over the past few years, when travelling up to our offices in Edinburgh. It's a convenient place to take a break after the long boring early morning motorway drive from Manchester and really sets me up for the nice cross country section through Biggar.

Food's generally OK but the real stars of the show for me are the croissants. The best I've found anywhere in the UK.

Just to clarify the route, I've attached a map.
Tony, Abington is the M74 services in the borders, as initkin says. I don't know what or where the Metro Centre is, but I don't think I've ever passed it.

Leave Aberdeen 08:00
.....Aberdeen to Abington = 172 miles, 3 hours 27 mins
Abington: arrive 11:30, depart at noon
.....Abington to Killington Lake = 104 miles, 1 hour 44 mins
Killington: arrive13:50, depart 14:00
.....Killington Lake to junction before Knutsford 82.6 miles, 1 hour 22 mins
.....Knutsford to Egerton Arms , Chelford = 6.3 miles, 13 mins
Egerton Arms: arrive 15:35, depart 15:45
.....Egerton Arms to Cat and Fiddle = 15.1 miles, 28 mins
Cat & Fiddle: arrive 16:15, depart 17:00
.....Cat & Fiddle to Donington = 57 miles, 1hr 18 mins
Donington (Travelodge): arrive at 18:20
.....Total 437 miles 8 hrs 32 mins

Aberdeen

Abington

Any more this year?

John,

It's a large shopping centre in Gateshead. You'd pass it if you were going south via the A1.

Abington is also a small village near Chester Le street, Co Durham

So I take it your not going down A1M
