@Spud, TBH, depending on how many of them there are at a single venue, it may be worth them using the bus from the curry house, or they may be better off getting a local cab firm.......

...maybe a couple of them on each bus run, and a taxi for any stragglers??????? (i cant place the Thistle at the mo, but if it's walkable to the TL, then that may work) - I can always ask Dico to take his Passat down to the Thistle to collect a couple for the campsite bus run - drop-offs at the end are the easy bit - just shout 'Stop' at the driver

...if they want to negotiate the whole bus, then it only takes a call to the restaurant, quote Neil Write as the booking, and see what time they can do the collection.....

...return trips are negotiable (for times) on the night and will probably be a bit mix and match to destination (seeing as those at the TL have no bar to get back to, some may wish to stay later at the meal, or not as the case may be - it's all very flexible - the only important bit was to get us all there for the 8:00pm sit-down.

@Sy - Dont ask me - I only started it, and then set the rules according to what we can actually get

On a serious note, the bus only has 15 passenger seats, and they won't allow any standing extras - this is for various reasons, not least of which is that if they have more than 15 passengers, the driver would need a PCV licence - if he doesn't have one, then the insurance is invalidated.

If it were a 12 seater, then cramming the extra 3 in isn't too much of an issue, but in this case it can't be done.

I don't really know what to suggest, other than if the numbers make it worthwhile, trying to get a third run organised from the Thistle???

TBH, I have had this list up and running for a while, and only did the final organisation with the restaurant last night, at the same time that Neil was doing his final numbers for the meal (expecting that if people wanted one, they would consider the other) - but I forgot that this is LEC, and the last minute actually has 60 seconds in it, so there's really plenty of time left.......

....seriously though, 15 is the limit, not the target, but if someone wants to make a call then they may be able to do another run - as an alternative, does anyone know of a local cab firm (I could pick one off t'intenet, but a known commodity is better than pot luck).

Hi Tony, I've changed the booking for a 6 seater to include the two above for 7pm at the TL.
They said they have an 8 seater if we need to change it. Booking is under the name Archie Buchanan.

I've just spoken to Jay at the Melbourne Arms to finalise numbers, and he asked me for a mobile number for each of the 2 parties - I expect that's "TL" & "posh lot at t'other hotel".
Sorry but I don't know who is who - I'm only doing the food side and not getting involved in the transport.
And even if I was I wouldn't give out numbers without permission.

I get one bloody job, which I eventually manage to complete with minutes to spare, then someone goes and hijacks it, just after someone else has changed it all and buggered things up!!!!!

Jay has already got my phone number for the campers, but he probably knows that being deaf, I can't always hear it ring, so perhaps it's as well that he's got someone elses now!

it seems that there are now 4 spaces on the campsite bus as Tony is slumming it at the TL - maybe it'll be worthwhile to drift past the TL on the second run in case anyone else wants to avail themselves???? or do we just leave it as it is?
