Fab show and really great to meet up with old faces and new again! My Elan family love has been refreshed! Thanks to all who helped with the organising and to all who joined in and helped make Donington an event worth going to!

Some photos from my large collection. A good time was had by all (even my wife, whom I brought for the first time). I got my Elanscan fixed (thanks Geoff & Bob), had some good chat with some good friends, spent a lot of cash, notched up 995 miles on the car (no problems at all - not bad for a 20 year old car which I use daily to travel to work), and ate and drank a lot.

Thanks to everybody who put in the effort to organise everything - the stand, the curry, the procession - everything.

I've had an email from John & Wendy (the NE Scotland Club Lotus organisers) that they're arranging a barbecue for the weekend, so I presume they did. Dunno how many times they had to stop to fill up the oil though!

I went back via a mate's near Grantham (red Excel, Healey 100, and Volvo) and stayed in a beautiful typical English country pub on Sunday night. The perfect antidote to the Travelodge. We drove home on Monday, getting back about 4:30 pm to find that the council was resurfacing the road to our house (hooray) meaning that I had a half-hour diversion via farm tracks to get home (not so good at the end of a 400 mile drive).

Yes, sorry. I did sort of recognise you (cf rear plinth, yellow head gear, and the clincher - purple seats), but I'm afraid I didn't introduce myself. My excuse is that I'm a grumpy antisocial sod, and that I had my wife with me this year. I also managed to miss Tony Munro whom I haven't met either, but given that there were only a few blue cars, he couldn't have been too far away.

Ah well, there's always next year.

Had a brilliant weekend, highlights for me were:

Sitting in the Lotus F1 Car AND the Lotus Evora Race Car on Friday Night
Excellent food on Friday night
Seeing my car on the stand (shame someone's child peeled the top off one of my door seals)
Rounders & Homebrew at Camp Elan
Waking up at 5am to brilliant sunshine shining through the tent
Albert's AWESOME trailer

Driving home with a huge smile on my face on Sunday evening
