Wow! Well the weather really was kind to us! Over the whole weekend we only had some night time showers, today mostly sunshine! 8)

Great event, thanks Rip for arranging the day! Again, another fab Elan adventure and great to meet fellow Elaners.

No idea what rip arranged!

So we had 5 Esprits, 1 Excel, 1 Carlton ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... and 12 Elans (I think!).

(Me, Bob, David, Toni, Iain, Graham, Shaun, Stef, chris t, Chris P, Merv and Trevor).

Another Excel, another Esprit, a soft top baby Elan, and a type 49 Elise were spotted elsewhere around the displays, plus the Elise and Evora on the Castle Lotus display.

Photos please if anybody remembered to take any!

A good day I thought, but the tart in the X5 or X3 at the services really should be ashamed of herself (backed into and TVR and tried (but failed) to do a runner).

Edit - come to think of it Graham wasn't in his Elan was he? So who was the 12th?

Who's that twat who parked round the wrong way

Good to see you all, thanks God for the weather and thanks to Dave Eds for organising a great day.

I sailed round the M25 and over the QE2 bridge - got back by 1745hrs which is really good going. Sympathy's to those queueing from Crawley turn off on the M23 to the M25 north bound - it was chocker. Hope you all had a good a trip back as me.

Sorry Dave, no photos but i've got some from last year if you want.

See you all soon i hope.

Cheers Chris

Ah, Rip did sort out Chappel and helped me out with St Mary's too.

And he kindly got some mole grips, which with the help of G and a number of onlookers, wigled my wasregate free!

So lots of thanks to Rip from me anyway! :D

I think Bobbrown provided the 12th car a little later.

Stef, not that observant as I arrived just behind spud as we saw him as we pulled into St Mary's disappearing up the metal road way.

Still an excellent day, and as things turned out the weather was dry all be it a little windy, up to the point I got home.
Nice to meet up with Dean and have a chat as another Elan is on it's way back to life having been off the road for some 3 odd years.
Any one know of a moss covered one in Northampton, the UPS delivery guy mentioned it when we were chatting last week.

May be we should have a lost and found section for all the cars sitting parked up and not being used as they should be.

Does seem to be going a little quiet around here... :?

I've seen a couple of neglected Elans around Kettering, was a little while ago now. Had put LEC stickers and a note through the door / under wiperbut don't think anything came of it.

Will perhaps go on an Elan hunt...

The village I am in now has a lovely Yellow Elan, DOD plate, and apparently a bubble car enthusiast :-D
