And bruised and battered tonight :x got beaten up at school today by a group of boys. Got knocked down by them and then they tried to play football with his head so now has an extra cheek and a football on his head. Waiting on school to tell us what they intend to do but seems like a 1 day exclusion (can't expel them now apparently) for the ringleader and that's it. Needless to say not happy bunny tonight and if they confirm that's the case then may pay the local police station a vist to see what they have to say.

 I know it's difficult but I do think that's beyond what a school should be allowed to deal with alone. For my money that's definitely a police matter!

This sort of thing makes me so angry!! There are certain situations where I think the rights of the individual have been totally surrendered by the actions they take and this is one of them. What about your lad's right to be safe at school, or anywhere else for that matter?

Good lad. You must be proud of him. :smt023

Thanks for the support, gave them a chance to do right today but still haven't had a reply as promised. In fairness they appear to have tied hands about what they can do (Nanny state) but a day exclusion seems to be little deterrent to me. Will be seen as a day off and a badge of honour i'm sure :? Lucky that Henry's not easily scared i suppose. Will sleep on it i think and see what they say on the morning and if still not happy will pay police a visit.

Paul, didn't know you went to 5 star used to hang around with a couple of the Conways Mark (same age as me and went to school with him) and Patrick year older :D Is Tony their Dad still up there ?? saying that it was 30+ years ago

Henry has been boxing but seems to prefer Karate which he has competed at so does know how to look after himself, think it was because there was more of them than anything. The school has excluded the boy till monday and spoken to the others but as yet don't know the outcome of those so will decide after that. suspect its better to let it go rather than stir it up and maybe get him marked at school. Indication of the way society is going now :(
