I have been trying to source Kia elan parts that may be the same as the lotus. Kia (korea) are not willing to provide any info without a chassis no and fourgreen seem to be a dead loss.
Give me a UK registration number and I can (usually) get the chassis number... if it helps.

Got a chassis number...
If anyone wants it, PM me...
I don't know why I'm so secretive, but it is not my car, so perhaps I ought to be?

Still it is a nice looking low milage car.... Wouldn't like to have to try to find spare parts for it though....

A 'P' Reg Elan:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOTUS-ELAN-CO ... 3373f6aa8cI'm sure I've seen this car before???
Also I note they are listing it as an S2 but the plinth on the dash is an SE and so in the badge on the boot.
Could this have been registered abroad and then reimported?
It's bugging me!
I'm only about 15 miles away so I might have a look and get the VIN number.
regards
John

yes this one has been around before , its just a very late registered SE ... clearly not an S2.
hasn't been for sale (on ebay at least) for about 4 years.
15 mins away ... if you would be kind enough to get the details for the register ..
kind regards

And don't you just love the 125,000 miles! Presumably around the M25 so check the clutch & brakes!

thats what i though too..
Its a sad fact that age and budget equals achievabillity.
Unfortunatly achievabillity can lead to lack of mantainance and modifications.
sounds snobby , not meant to be . But thats just the way it goes.

I know what you mean, Dave, but on the other hand I've encountered several well-to-do owners (not LEC members, I hasten to add) who seem to have been very reluctant to shell out the necessary to keep their Elans in good trim - poor quality and/or mismatched tyres, and cambelts well overdue for replacement are a couple of typical cost-saving measures that I've been surprised to find on more, er, upmarket Elans.
