Yeah me to, bought one last year and I agree it lengthens the year at each end, but Visually I think they ruin the look a bit!

just bought a wind deflector from classic additions and it arrived today, so anticipate fitting over the weekend. They were really helpful and nice to deal with I mentioned LEC and they were prepared to sell at £125 inc delivery, that's a lot cheaper than it is on e bay.

That will sort the wind out all I need now is to stop the wet!!!!

Easy just drive without stopping rain then goes straight over well it does if you are short enough and going quick enough

As above, when I phoned last year they were quite happy to honour the LEC price. Very helpful and friendly on the phone so definitely worth a call to ask.

Pinky was quite right when i bought my wind deflecor a few weeks ago I mentioned LEC and the price of £125 inc vat and they were happy to still sell me one at that price. I have seen them more like £169 + vat and it looks the same so when you ring them mention LEC and the Price, they were a really nice company to deal with too.
If you want to see one before you buy you can always pop down to Weston and take a look at the one i purchased,I haven't fitted it yet but you can see what they are like, just PM me if you want to popdown for a look.

Just one question though........ the kit comes with two fairly large self tapping screws, are these to replace the standard screws or ?????? just dont want it flying off at speed

Take off one of the existing screws and I think you will find it is a small bolt, not a self tapper. I am sure mine were, although memory could have failed.

A tip: fasten a small wedge finger thickness behind bottom of each bracket: it reduces the wobble of the screen. I used an M10/12 nut and black insulation tape.

And just how "effective" are these things, I know it is hard to quantify but as the years go by and my hair with it, I would like to keep as much as possible - I ONLY drive the car with the top down.

This isn’t the Classic Editions wind deflector which most of us in the UK have, so i’ve no experience of this specific one (interestingly, the listing says its for the E-type Jaguar - I wish). My CE deflector works really well, and there’s a definite difference in wind blow with and without it. Definitely worth it. Fitting is straightforward, although I have “improved” the fixings on mine - the original is a metal to plastic screw, which allows too much flex in the deflector at speed for my taste. I now have a metal insert into the bulkhead, which the fixing screws go into.
