My only concerns have been that the company make a good replica. Upto now I am very happy with the information that they have given me.
Looking at the pics there are a couple of areas I want to look at closely when they arrive.

Other than this. They have done a fantastic job. They always answer any questions that we have had and although a very small company they seem to be making a great deal of effort to produce a very low volume part. Due to the quantity the sales girl has said that they almost dismissed my request.... Fortunatly I did mention that there may be other parts to follow. Which seemed to get her attention :-)

I'm not expecting them to arrive for a few days. I just hope that when they do they will be a perfect match....

Well by the time we all have recieved the new escutcheons I wonder if Geoff will award me with the prize for the longest running "group buy" thread ??

Good news is I picked up the samples this morning and the texture issue seems to have been solved. Not perfect. Maybe a bit more pronounced than the kia part but I am personally very happy with the way it has turned out.

The colour is still not perfect. They have now had 2 attempts at matching the colour. It's Maybe a little darker and possibly looking more brown tint like the origional than matching the Kia part.
Looking at the back of the part it looks the same colour. so maybe it's due to the texture? Depending on the viewing angle the colour changes alot

It does fit in the door card alot easier than the Kia sample. I'm scared of snapping the Kia part when I install it.

Not sure if I should send the Kia part back to see if they can do a better match or live with what we have. I know they have already gone through a great deal of extra effort to get this far.
I know it is not "perfect" but I am starting to wonder if it's the best they can do.

Any advice greatly appreciated

I think they look a very good match i dont think you do any better at the price and i for one will be very happy to have them as they are.

Hi Jo. Thank you for your interest. At the moment I can not give a final price.... I am still awaiting to hear on shipping and import duty..... At the end of the day it willl not exceed the £30 cost. I will hopefully be able to make it less.

If you are interested at the £30 mark.... then If I can makeit for a lower cost we are all happy:)

As stated above, I for (another?) one am not going to complain about the colour being half a millishade out - it's a heck of a lot better than anyone on here could have hoped for, and in your pics it looks good.

I have to agree with all that's been said above. Go ahead with where we are now because where we are now, compared to where we were, is excellent.

Wayne has done a great job on this and, to be fair, so has the company helping him. The last thing we would want to do is lose this company by being over pernickety!
