Managed to get there last year, but stuck in Australia this time around, any pics of the Lotus stuff would be much appreciated - tried selling the family but no one offered a good price

Well, due to the nature of my job, I didn't know which days I was going to have off until a few days ago and now all the tickets have been sold     :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The first time in 17 years I can't go and it has to be a Lotus special, because they choose this year to limit the number of tickets. How p%ssed off am I

Can anybody please post as many pictures as possible?

O well, off to Bovington Tankfest

Without wishing to pour on petrol...I used my free tickets from the Torygraph to the Moving Motor Show yesterday and had a great old time. While the last few cars/bikes are still arriving during the day, really the only things you miss by going on the Thursday are the runs up the hill, and the throng preventing you from seeing anything. Lotus have produced a fantastic sculpture focussed on their single seat racers and their huge stand has more competition cars, a couple of baby Elans to celebrate their 50years and one of each of the current production road cars elise/exige/evora. I took nearly 200 pics and that's just a fraction of what was on show. You'll appreciate that photography isn't one of my strengths(!), but if you can be bothered its a flavour at least.

Yes, I went with Chris T and we had a good time on Thursday. It was a lot easier to get round the pits (and the weather was kind - TBH it was TOO hot!)

Edited to add - thank you for posting the pics - I didn't take a camera myself.

Thanks mpx - an amazing Lotus collection, and since I am in Aus this year instead of over there great to see them. Oddly excited by the Lotus Sunbeam - the Talbot/Chrysler version not up to much, but that car was amazingly effective. They made them in a disused farm building about 2 miles from my house when I was a kid.

Anyone else going, more pics, it helps with the pain of not being there!

Talk about kicking a man when he's down! :chair:

Nice pictures

It always amaizes me just how many cars Lotus have been involved with over the years, not just the production cars, but a plethora of competition stuff.

What a history.
