Not me this year, Dave.
It clashes with something unmissable for me that weekend.

Who else is thinking of going to this?
What's the score for camping??
Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

http://www.lotus-festival.com/ LinkLooks like things are gathering pace and there is a parade lap for Elans, not sure if it's for all Elans so have asked the question awaiting a reply.
Did the parade lap at Snetterton for the M100 which was good fun as the pace car did not go that slow just hope we get included.
So who's going

David,
Just a thought, may be Lotus Festival 2012 would be a better topic header.

Bet it's the Indy circuit as they do not use the full circuit very often

I do like to park on the south bank, but if there's a chance of getting on the track where's best to park

The south bank is a good place to park but would think they would want any cars doing the parade lap/s to be on the other side of the circuit as they will need to feed them on to the track from the lower paddock.
May be we should consider registering as a Club so we can all stick together, will need to see if there are any costs attached but one things for sure we will need more people to attend.
I'll ask the question to see what is involved with registering as a Club

I went to the Mini event last Sunday and they had a parade, all the cars were parked inside in their respective clubs, we were gutted to be parked on the south bank so we missed it,
and to make matters worse my son's car was written off yesterday

fortunately my son walked away which is the main thing, but what was a very lucky find is now a twisted wreak

I have said we will attend as LEC and we should now have our own allocated parking with in the car club area which should help keep us all together.
I should have some (6) FREE weekend passes on there way so they will go to who ever on a first come first served basis once I get them.
Note: these passes probably do not include camping

sounds good to me

, there is a Shell Garage by the Brentwood Junction on M25 which has some parking outside and by noodle bar next door that could be a meeting point. Also has burger van outside and coffee shop inside garage

Your not wrong there mate, he was really lucky in that respect, but I can't see us getting a 78 Mini with no rust again
