New Door Handle Escutcheons: Everywhere but North America

Postby Brit-Car-Nut » Fri 13.07.2012, 17:30

The consignment for the UK is slowly being processed by UK Customs, so it is time to start the Group Buy for the Door Handle Escutcheon sets.

If you want to see a picture of what you will be buying, here is a link: http://www.lotuselanm100usa.info/images/escutcheons.jpg

Caryn Smith will be handling payments from those in the UK and Dave(dapinky) will be handling UK shipping.

Because a lot of you meet each other frequently, the low cost "LEC Express" is also available for those that don't mind waiting. It is best that you coordinate directly with Dave (dapinky).

This is just the start of distribution and the list IS NOT FINAL.

Anyone that wants to join in is more than welcome. Just reply with your request and you will be added.

By now, UK buyers have received a LEC PM with the payment details for Bank xfer and PayPal.
If you need to send a personal cheque, please contact ME (Brit-Car-Nut) and I will send you the correct address.

PLEASE send me (Brit-Car-Nut) your shipping details so I can pass them on to Dave once the payment has arrived.

Non UK buyers: I will get your PMs out later tonight.

For those in the UK:

The final price per set is £25.00 and shipping for one or two sets will be £4.00. They will be shipped by UK Post, 1st class, signed-for.

So, that is £29.00 for one or £54.00 for two sets shipped from Dave to you.

More than two sets will have to be calculated as necessary.

If you don't send the postage to Caryn, you will need to contact Dave to make arrangements for your receipt.

For those NOT in the UK and NOT in the US:

The final price per set is £25.00. Contact Dave or Brit-Car-Nut with your name and address so he can calculate your shipping cost. THEN send the correct total payment to Caryn via Bank Transfer, Personal PayPal or Personal Cheque. Any payment by cheque will hold up shipment until the check clears the bank.

Payment by Bank Transfer is greatly preferred and appreciated BUT PayPal is also available if you make it a Personal Payment. You will be asked by PayPal to pay a small fee (much less than the fee PayPal will charge us if you don't accept it). That will avoid all PayPal Fees to us.

PLEASE REMEMBER: The payment must be in GBP (Great Britian Pounds).

Remember, ANYONE can still join in. Just reply with a request and you will be added to the list.

The Master List is a few posts down or click this link:

http://forum.lotuselancentral.com/viewtopic.php?f=85&t=20942&p=265823#p265823

So, check your email and PMs on LEC for the details and send your payments, names and addresses and Dave will start shipping once he returns from his holiday.

Anyone that needs to contact me, send a PM or click on the envelope under my ID over on the left to send an email.

Contact Dave via LEC PM (dapinky).

Thank you all for your interest and a BIG THANK YOU to Wayne for keeping after this and getting the job done efficiently and affordably.

Getting my head round it all slowly (even though the box hasn't arrived yet!)

Iain (RIP), Roland (Inkitin), Spud (Dave Eds), Nick (Nicowalker1), Gareth (theelanman) - At this stage I'm assuming that I'll be chucking them in the boot and bringing them up to 'Uddersfield (along with Grahams, who has already requested this mode of delivery).

If you want them before then, you'll have to let me know for postage.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Thanks for the USA reviews!

We have more sets than were pre-sold.

Anyone that wants a set or two can still join in at this price.

Once the list is completed, the remaining sets will be sold at market value on sites like eBay.

You can always buy broken USED sets from Douglas Valley Breakers for £49.50 + shipping!!!!!

Sounds good to me too! I've already paid and added on the postage :bonk: but hey, what the hell, a few quid for the LEC coffers. :-D

New Door Handle Escutcheons: Everywhere but North America

Postby Brit-Car-Nut » Thu 19.07.2012, 23:50

Ok, I like a challenge as well as the next guy,

BUT: If you send a payment to Geoff or Caryn or PayPal, how about ADDING your LEC ID and address to the message area.

Also, we politely asked for everyone to send their addresses for shipping the escutcheons, but very few have done this.

How do you think the parts will find their way to you if we can't match your payment to your LEC ID and your correct address?

EVERYONE not in the US: PLEASE send an email: john_c@carolina.rr.com with your LEC ID, your real name and your real address.

Out of 17 payments received, I think I figured out who 8 of you are and I have 5 addresses.

Please don't make this any more difficult than it has been already.

Okay, as I actually KNOW some of you, and how you'll be getting the parts, YOU may not see it as necessary to include all details as requested by John......

....however, Caryn and John DO NOT know you, and you are just a name on a list which may or may not have any bearing on your real name, and it does cause confusion....

...for instance, those on the LEC express are sorted, but John doesn't know that, and nor does Caryn. I got an email from Caryn last night with a list of names who have paid, but even I had to have a good think to work out who was who from an initial and a surname :?

Anyway, I had 2 big boxes arrive this morning, and am currently taking a break from checking, wrapping and boxing them up in matched pairs ready to go to the Post Office (realistically, they will likely go on Monday).

However, As I intend to go to my local LEC meeting next Wednesday, I will have some sets in my boot (RIP & Nobby) and a couple for Geoff (for Lansledj) and maybe a few more for those who when seeing the product decide that they can't live without them!

Likewise, Roland (Inkitin) has confirmed that he will take delivery at Nick & Kims wedding (and RIP if he doesn't make next week).

In the meantime, PLEASE include your LEC username on any/all correspondence, it makes life simpler for all of us

New Door Handle Escutcheons: Everywhere but North America

Postby Brit-Car-Nut » Fri 20.07.2012, 13:52

Dave HAS THE ESCUTCHEONS!!!

Now, we can sort out payments and addresses to get them on their way to everyone that wants a set.

We are going to use a MASTER list where any notes or changes will be made. Both Dave and I can edit it and that way we won't be worrying about dropping someone off the list.

PLEASE don't copy or add or anything. If you want to be added, send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with the request. I will then add you. If you have paid but don't see it marked, send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with your ID, address and date of payment. I will verify it with Caryn and let Dave know as soon as the payment clears. Any other issues? Send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with the details.

Remember, ANYONE can still join in. Just send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with the request.

Here is the OLD MASTER LIST. See the newest toward the end of the thread:

If there is nothing against your name, it just means I haven't pieced all of the information together yet - I have addresses, I have names of people who have paid, I have lists - but they don't all match up!

If it says PM Sent, you have been asked to send your details (to brit-car-nut)so we can figure out if you paid.

If you have paid, then I need your address and username to equate the info ('cos I'm NOT Sherlock Holmes). Likewise, I have some addresses, but cannot release the items until I get confirmation from Caryn that money has been received, so please (if you see no update to you on the list above, soon) feel free to contact us.

Most have now gone (except for one which was still in the car when I got home from PO  ).

Therefore a couple to go Monday, plus still waiting on payment/address details for a few. I appreciate that it is prime holiday time, and some guys are away, but the sooner you send your details, the sooner the pile in my lounge shrinks to a size where I can see out of the window :D

Also, those who expected to get stainless springs from Geoff, will find a bag in the box with your escutcheons :D
