The right side is the one I'm having problems with. Today I fitted the left side in about 5 min with only
a VERY small gap at the rear bottom. Nothing to be concerned about really.

I'm convinced now that there is a problem with my right side door.

On a side note the originals on mine had very good color match compared to what I see
on the UK cars. Mine were damaged from someone taking the washer out from behind
and the end breaking off..

Don't condem your door panel just yet!!

I can not guarentee the reproduction is the right shape.

I had asked for people to supply a better part several times and eventually had to send my part. It could be a combination of things.....

Hopefully after people have read your post others will fit theres and get back to us.

Sorry. I'm as much in the dark as you are on this.

I need people to comment. If everyone finds the parts are not right then we will either have to see if we can adjust the parts slightly or have to resort to drastic measures....

Curious to hear tat the bad side on yours is the better side on mine.....??

Hopefully we will get replies from other people to see if things are consistant...

sorry for any inconvinience.

Really pleased, Thanks... Drivers side went on with no probs but my son strugled with the passenger side, It just seemed a much tighter fit, Its on but the bottom edge doesnt sit really flush, its hardly noticable...

Thought I would move the list to the end of the listing.
We are just about finished with collecting the payments and sending the escutcheons to everyone that has responded to the offer.
Thank you Dave P., Caryn and Geoff for all of your support and efforts.
Thank you too to everyone that joined in and helped get the cost of the project to a level that made it feasable to reproduce a problem part.

We are using a MASTER list where any notes or changes will be made.
Both Dave and I can edit it and that way we won't be worrying about dropping someone off the list.

PLEASE don't copy or add or anything. If you want to be added, send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with the request. I will then add you. If you have paid but don't see it marked, send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with your ID, address and date of payment. I will verify it with Caryn and let Dave know as soon as the payment clears. Any other issues? Send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with the details.

Remember, ANYONE can still join in. Just send ME (Brit-Car-Nut) a PM with the request.

If there is nothing against your name, it just means I haven't pieced all of the information together yet - I have addresses, I have names of people who have paid, I have lists - but they don't all match up!

If it says PM Sent, you have been asked to send your details (to brit-car-nut)so we can figure out if you paid.

If you have paid, then I need your address and username to equate the info ('cos I'm NOT Sherlock Holmes). Likewise, I have some addresses, but cannot release the items until I get confirmation from Caryn that money has been received, so please (if you see no update to you on the list above, soon) feel free to contact us.

:D Got mine yesterday via Rip, Bob, and then Lady Bob  many thanks to all concerned.
I've not tried to fit them yet but I'm really impressed with the look of them.
If they are awkward to fit then they are really authentic

Found mine when coming back from holidays. they look absolutely great. Simply had to adjust a little bit one of them to allow fitting (right hand door). However shouldn't blame the escutcheons, it certainly reflects that our cars are hand made !
A huge Thank you again to Wayne and John    and to anyone involved as well (and for everyone outstanding discipline and reliability... Very impressive for a recent member like me  )

A couple of photos to show change done:

Thank you for the information WienLot. I'm pleased that you have found a fix to the problem of your part not fitting correctly. Hopefully this will work out for other people that are having the same problem. Sorry that I didn't pick up on the problem earlier :(

I'm on "vacation"?? in the Uk at the moment and have been kind of busy with other problems. Have not been keeping up with things on here recently.

My apologies if the part needs to be modified to fit correctly. Hopefully following weinLot's pics if any one is having problems I hope this will fix it.

It is time to close out this list.

Until Wayne can find time, we are out of Escutcheon Pairs in the UK. There are just enough pairs left to fulfill the remaining orders that are on the current list and that have a note other than PM Sent so Erod and Gazza1, you will have to join the new list if you still want a set.

Wayne will figure up the price for each pair and the shipping will vary based on your location. All of those details will be in the new list.

There ARE more going to be available, but they are in the midst of a home move and won't resurface until that is over.

Thank you Dave P., Caryn and Geoff for all of your support and efforts.

Thank you too to everyone that joined in and helped get the cost of the project to a level that made it feasable to reproduce a problem part.

I will start a new list for the remaining pairs. It will not be broken into two distribution areas anymore.

If you haven't received your order or you haven't paid for what you received, check your PMs first and then send me an email with your issue. I tried to reply to everyone's communication but there are a LOT of PMs still in my outbox signifying that you never read them. It would be nice for that to clear out too.

This is the final MASTER list for this sale where any notes or changes will be made.

My piece of paper (well, computer document!) appears to match up with all the e-mails and the above list, so I think it's "Job jobbed."

If there is anything on the above master list which isn't correct (ie, if it is listed as posted and you haven't yet had it, [with the exception of ex-exige - your box is at my feet and will go this afternoon], please let me know ASAP as i want to throw away all the receipts from the post office!!!

If there is something in blue, you should have a message from John (B-C-N) as to what is required of you (probably money  )

If you are on the list in blue, but have failed to answer all of the messages sent to you, then it means you ain't got anything coming in the post, and indeed, any escutcheons you thought you were getting have been sold to others who have actually contacted us and paid  .......

So, as far as I can tell - we're all done here.......

.....but if you wanted some and missed out, for whatever reason, don't worry - watch out for "Escutcheons - The Sequel".......

.....I have received a 're-stock' from Wayne (in limited quantities) and a new list will be started shortly. I am not in a position to start it now, as I am aware that in order to get everyone sorted out so far there has been a bit of sending boxes from obscure places in the world to other obscure places in the world, not necessarily from the 'local' distribution point, and we need time to re-align stock with where it is best utilised, and I know that there are people who have already asked for sets, so it would be wrong for me to start a list without putting those people on it at the top.

As stated elsewhere, there are a few sets in our hands, but it would need a good sized order to make another production run worthwhile (even with the tooling in existence), so we are just ensuring that those who want sets at the advertised prices get them in the best possible way, and that afterwards, any excess 'stock' is dealt with effectively.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
