Well Bob. Here I am again, the poor sap who was monumentally stupid enough to willingly hand over to you the princely sum of £350 for a pair of, what now appear to be, non-existent Front Lower Wishbones!

I take my hat off to you Bob, because nobody in the 63 years of my time on this wonderful planet of ours has managed to get anywhere near that amount of money out of me, by promising to supply me something that's actually turned out to be nothing.

Dave (Dapinky) wrote in his last post on this thread "I've heard back from 'Busy Bob' and am satisfied that things are getting there!" Exactly where is "there" is the question that springs to my mind. The only thing that makes sense to me is that "there" is in reality nowhere!

Dave also wrote in the same post "The easy way would have been to farm them out to a third party, but that comes at a financial cost, which Bob has always sought to avoid. The reality is that if costs go up, then the end user has to pay either in pound notes. or a longer timescale." All I can say is that "farming it out to a third party", even if it does mean additional cost, sounds like a cracking good "deal" to me compared to what I've received up to this point! Also, what exactly is a "longer timescale"? 'till hell freezes over presumably?

Next Dave told us "Bob has stated that he will update this thread (and others) when it is appropriate - but for now, all we can do is wait and accept that things are moving along in the background." Again I have some pertinent questions. When exactly will it be an "appropriate time" to update this thread? and, in the absence of that update for a period of well over six months, why should I accept that things are moving along in the background? Also, why are you tentatively proposing to start another Group Buy, which by the way is in my view of very limited value, when this critical Group Buy is going nowhere?

Dave's post signs off by stating "I hope this goes some way to alleviate any issues that people may have with this project." Well, it sort of did at the time but my understandable scepticism back then has, unfortunately, proved more than justified.

Let me tell you exactly where I am with this Bob. In my mind I've written off the money I've paid over to you. I've also given up any hope of receiving, from you, any wishbones for that money. This is going to be my last post on this thread, your thread, because I can't afford to take on the stress of trying to resolve the multitude of issues I have with this Group Buy and whatever issues you seem to have with it.

The real tragedy of this is that I'm not the only member that's handed over significant amounts of money in expectation of receiving various goods as described in this thread. By my reckoning it amounts to a few thousand pounds that's been paid over! With that amount of money in mind, the fact that you can't even bring yourself to appear on your own thread and update members on the current situation is, quite honestly, a complete and utter disgrace.

Finally let me be absolutely clear, although I've quoted from Dave (Dapinky)'s post, I lay no blame for this situation at his door because, in my view, he has been duped along with the rest of us.

I have had several bits off of Bob and have never had a problem...But the absence of any explanation on this thread worries me.

If money has changed hands and things have changed then now is the time to be upfront.

it`s about time we were given answers to the questions bob is being asked about the completion of this project considering the number of people complaining.
maybe the real problem is that bob has started too many group buy projects and is unable to focus on any one of them,either way its unacceptable not to reply to the questions being put forward when you have taken monies in advance.

I sent Bob an Email and a PM a week ago asking if there was anything I could do to help with the front wishbones. I’m assuming there’s a technical problem with the manufacturing ... unfortunately they have gone unanswered.

I imagine it’s doubly frustrating for the people who are not party to the private conversations taking place.

I understand LEC is doing all it can rectify the problem.

While I’m sure there’s a good reason for operating in the way we do ... already one thread has been locked ... I can’t help thinking there’s more to be gained by being more open on this occasion.

If anyone knows why Bob has stopped posting, and seemingly stopped answering emails, I’m sure the rest of the membership would be interested to know ... starting with confirmation he’s in good health.

The Administrators/Moderators have been made aware of some unease within the membership with regards to the lack of information and progress of this and associated (by project leader) group buy projects. Whilst LEC hold no responsibility for this and similar projects we are sufficiently concerned to recommend that no further commitment/agreement to such ventures be undertaken by LEC members while an agreement, between the group buy instigator and those Members owed money, as to the way forward of this and associated group buys is sought. We suggest that all those involved in these group buys contact the project leader for either a full refund of their monies or a confirmed delivery date which should be expected to be reasonably practicable. It is our opinion that group buys organised by a single project leader should be restricted to one thread at a time and each project should be completely satisfied before another is started. As a group we cannot and will not intentionally provide a platform for any person to take money for goods and not produce them on a reasonable timescale.
This thread and others started by the same project leader have been locked and an exclusive area for Members to muster and air their grievances has been constructed. Access to this area can be gained by contacting me [Sy V] by Private Message (PM). We will update the membership of this area with any information as we receive news of progress.
A spreadsheet of monies owed to Members is being set up, please contact DaveT by PM to add your details to the list.
