new rear light covers made. (NO LONGER VIABLE TOO EXPENSIVE)

Postby WienLot » Fri 02.11.2012, 12:04

To all,

Together with Alpine V6 Turbo GTA French owners on FAR (Forum Alpine Renault), I am trying to conduct a poll to determine the desire of respective members to get replacement outer lenses for tail lights (which are similar on Alpine GTA and on our Elan M100).

1991renaultalpineturbom.jpg

Please use the following link to know more and add your name on the list if interested:
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=21006&start=20

No need to tell you that new moulds will be costly to make so that the broader interest we identify the higher chance we give to such a project...

Cheers
Franck

PS: For those who would jump to the website of FAR to know more, please note that 'light cover' or 'outer lense' is 'cabochon' in French

Dear all,

So far less than 30 of us have raised their hand... that's still far from giving a serious chance to launching a project even in collaboration with Alpine owners :o
Would need at least 100 names on our (Lotus) list :
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=21006&start=20

To all please: make sure you alert all M100 owners you know being them LEC members or not, thanks !

For those who want to jump to the website of FAR to know more, please note that 'light cover' or 'outer lense' is 'cabochon' in French.

The link for direct access is :
http://alpinerenault.free.fr/outils/for ... &start=340

So now as you can appreciate the exciting question is: which ones between Alpine owners and M100 owners will be fatest to raise hand ? :)

Good to know: the topic has been today qualified as 'high priority' by Forum Alpine Renault's webmaster Hervé Valette

Don't wait anymore for jumping to FAR website with this new link:
http://alpinerenault.free.fr/outils/for ... &start=360

Then to use the following link to add your name to Lotus list if interested with the following link:

Dear all,

We have now reached 107 intentions as of today 24/12/2012:
- 39 owners of Lotus Elan M100 via LEC
- 68 French owners of Alpine Renault GTA/A610 via FAR
have yet raised hand.

Sure more will be needed from the economical point of view however I would be prepared to believe that once the covers set is really available, the number could more than double (18.000 'views' on French forum FAR!). I believe a lot of owners don't NEED them now but if covers are available, will pick up a set as spares for the future.

Accordingly, I will in early days of January (re)contact some identified potential industrial companies.
Please make sure any Lotus or Alpine club or owner of M100 or Alpine GTA you may personally know is alerted and invited to join the list.

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year 2013 !

You just mention it & a Moderator (usually one named Dave  ) will soon be around to sort it for you....like dapinky already has :D

If you copy the list onto this thread & state the expected cost (which may have changed since you first looked into it), this may generate more interest.
