I am looking into having the tooling made to reproduce the "B" Post caps used on the M100.
I am aware that there are two styles with different hinge designs and I hope to offer both styles.
Can you please let me know if you are interested in a PAIR and if you require the early or later design.
If you don't know which design you need, here are some pictures:

Image Image

Early Style on the left and Later Style on the right

The later style uses a hinge with an embedded hinge that is pop-riveted at the two holes. Right now those are not available, so you will need to re-use your existing hinges.
I will look into finding a source for those too, but right now, I need to know if there is enough demand to run this project.
This is a non-commitment list. You are under no obligation to buy but without knowing the demand, I can't decide how many to make and how to price them.
NO MONEY will be collected until the parts are ready to ship and will most likely be posted from both the US and the UK.
I want them to be as affordable as possible and that comes when we spread the total cost across the most sales (Like the escutcheon project)

Not a bit. Lennon wore it out years ago. I will fix it later on. This is just a basic count to see if there is a real demand. Thanks.

Fixed, sorry.

According to SJS website they list both L and R hinge for later caps. And I bought the R one from them only 2 months ago. Their hinge includes the spring. They are however bit expensive at 16 GBP each plus vat plus delivery which worked out at around 23 GBP for one little hinge and spring!

Similarly they list both caps too. Again pricey at over 28 GBP each plus the usual. But I didn't buy any so don't know if they are actually available.
If you are going to try to source alternatives they would need to be much cheaper than SJS.

May join list as although I have 2 functioning caps they are different colours! :? :?

Best of luck with this.

We are aware that SJS lists the caps and hinges. The hinges were on a sell-down list from Lotus around 4 years ago for a couple quid each. The caps Steve is selling are a fiberglass reproduction and need to be painted to match your car.

We are hoping to keep the price per pair lower than they are charging for one. (like the escutcheons)

I would probably be interested, depending on cost. I only have one side at present so having a new pair would finish things off . Please add me to list, later I think, need to check car.
