I am looking into having the tooling made to reproduce the "B" Post caps used on the M100.
I am aware that there are two styles with different hinge designs and I hope to offer both styles.
Can you please let me know if you are interested in a PAIR and if you require the early or later design.
If you don't know which design you need, here are some pictures:

Image Image

Early Style on the left and Later Style on the right

The later style uses an embedded hinge that is pop-riveted at the two holes. Right now those are not available, so you will need to re-use your existing hinges.
I will look into finding a source for those too, but right now, I need to know if there is enough demand to run this project.
This is a non-commitment list. You are under no obligation to buy but without knowing the demand, I can't decide how many to make and how to price them.
NO MONEY will be collected until the parts are ready to ship and will most likely be posted from both the US and the UK.
I want them to be as affordable as possible and that becomes a reality when we spread the total cost across the most sales (Like the escutcheon project).

The goal is to keep the price per pair below £30.00 (It pays to read all of the posts...)

Progress is being made! Samples are at the manufacturer and we are working with their tech to get the mold sorted. Then, we will sort out the colour and decide on the final cost.

There are currently 15 Early and 16 Later requested. To make this affordable, we really need more like 50 sets of each.

The projected price is 30 pounds or less for a PAIR (set) of either design + nominal postage.

Join in as it will probably be a smaller run this time.

I can't understand why this is not more eagerly subscribed. The escutcheons were just as obsolete & less easily damaged. I entered that group buy just to populate the stock of spares (mine are fine & I already had some spare CF ones so I didn't need them).
It would be a shame if this did not happen. If it does, I am sure others will take my 'spares' from me very quickly.

The current Group Buy issues certainly play a part as does the fact a lot have put their cars to bed for the winter.

Once we find out the cost for the moulds, we will decide how many to produce. If not enough LEC members are interested, there is always eBay. The escutcheons sold for a lot more on eBay.

I could do with two pairs. I have a 1990 and 1991 model and both require new post caps.

From what I see, most '90 models had the early style. It is not a problem if I am wrong. The mould will make one set of each type each time it is filled.

I'll definitely take a set to make numbers up. Hardly been working as whole family is ill for pushing 3 weeks now and I am provider, childminder, nurse, doctor and cabby at the moment.

Just need to check which kind I want but I'll chip in kind of thing.

Jeemy: Just take care of everyone and I hope they get well soon. We won't order just the amount listed here, we are using this list to guestimate the real demand.
