:| But your passenger seat adjuster is broken, Stef. I would guess that your seat & Dave's have the same broken part (but if you're lucky, I'm wrong).
The outside half of the driver's seat has been completely crushed in the impact.

Apart from being soaked by rain & needing a wash, the passenger side carpet should be fine.
The driver's side is another matter. It is trapped beneath the twisted mess which was once the seat, door, outrigger & tub. I would be very surprised if it has not been torn by the impact too :(

Oh yeah, we discovered that while trying to make some working room! Yup, so the knob is available, but the washer, I suspect from using my limited knowledge, is probably the useless part!

The car is sodden from being left outside wih the hood popped up in all the peeing rain we've been getting.

The B Post carpet bits are glued in tight and the driver's side maybe irrecoverable. I'm trying to rescue anything that isn't broke but may bin a few bits if there are no tackers and space becomes limited. For example, all the boot carpet is available but don't suspect it's something people really get to need??

The rear bumper is apparently now quite hard to find. Mine is bust around the exhaust and mid body a little with lots of crazing. Should be repairable I guess. But would there be any takers??

Anyway, shout up if you'd like any odd bits 'just in case' or if you feel they maybe better than your current ones. Got lots of brackets, casings, air vents etc... Also gathering a range of genuine original screws and bolts if you like the totally original approach! :-D

Can't believe I actually enjoyed spannering these two days, even if I did have to remember Righty-Tighty Lefty-Loosy  Thanks for supplying the brilliant tools and assistance Rip 8)

Stef,

I note your comments about the B post carpet trim, but unless they're ripped I'll take both sides - the plastic with the carpet attached, please.

Two other things that would be useful if available would be:
1. The spare wheel clamp mechanism, and
2. Rubber spacer for heater matrix! This are the two large bungs through which the metal heater matrix pipes go through the bulkhead and stop the metal pipes chaffing on the bulkhead!

We need to talk costs but can sort that by pm at your convenience.

Cheers

Pete

OK. Well the passenger side is off with plastic, but the plastic isn't useable. Same will be for the driver side IF it will come out. Will try my best!

No idea what the bungs are but hopefully my 'beautiful' assistants will recognise when we get to that part :-D

Spare wheel clamp mechanism, the 'L' shaped rod with the screw end? Have all those bits, even the polystyrene case that holds the jack.

Unsure on prices etc yet. Hard to know. But on comparing to bits available on ebay, I don't think you'll see prices like over £50 for a hazzard switch

Sounds ok to me, as for the drivers side, carpets are surprisingly resilient.

Let me know what you would like and am happy to pick up in Jan (and assist if there is anything left to do, great progress!)

Hi Cliff

Presume you are looking for the full footwell or just the floor mats/carpet? Either way, there is zero part of the driver footwell visable so chances of any recovery there extremely slim. Would need a cutting tool to hack through to access! Sorry, chances are you'll be out of luck there :(

Stef

As per my PM, if you can rescue the passenger side "sill plate fixing strip" (it is under the sill plate) it would be much appreciated. If you need a photo to recognise it I will post one. The sill plate and the fixing strip are normally stuck together with double sided tape.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get over to you this side of Christmas but I could give you a day spannering after, let me know.

Hey Geoff

A picture is always best for my dunce understanding!

Thinks I may know what you mean and if it's passenger side it's more than likely available! :-)

Hi,

happy to take the passenger side, floor mats and also the rear bulkhead one with map pocket if it is still available.

Hi Cliff

The passenger door got jammed shut, I think from the lock jamming as the whole chassis twisted slightly.

This unfortunately meant the inner panel had to be damaged in order to un-jam the lock and get the door open, which came open perfectly normal once un-locked! The door should be fine though (once I can get it off)

Please let me know if you'd still be interested in it! And if you need the electrical gubbins and window.

Rear central pocket is fine, my carpets are red. The Passenger mat is black and in quite good condition with Lotus logo.

Hi Stef,
I hope you and BLIPI I will have lots of fun together. She will look after you if you treat her well, but give her a good thrashing when she needs it.
Have a great Christmas, and I look forward to reading your future adventures.
Jim

Hello

Few people have mentioned availability and willingnessto help spanner Blipi.

I'm a little tight for time, as probably are many, however, tomorrow (Saturday) I'm opening garage and inviting folk over to help.

Ideally looking to get engine out (hoist depending...) and her jacked up for the wheels and under bits to come off.

Please let me know if you are free and happy to come along!

Thanks!
