No its not a simple north south thing...it's more a relation to where I am thing....I have a compass on my desk , a present from my dear wife when I put up the sat dish...no this is more like... I kind of state things like...."there is alot of noise coming from the road going to the motorway" and point in completely the wrong direction....!

I was hoping to make this (even if it was mainly to wind up someone who won't be in an Elan ) but I've been invited to a 40th in Colchester the night before.
I can't really miss that & S Yorks is a bloody long way from NE Essex.

Would've liked to attend this but unfortunately it clashes with a wedding we're invited to in London.
Hopefully there will be other meets like this in the future, it's good to put faces to the names on the forum and have a good chinwag.

Here Goes.

I hope I'm not tempting fate, but it looks like the weather could be improving (its been a very long winter). I hope every one who has indicated that they will be attending plus any one else who fancy's a run out can make it on Sunday the 7th of April.

It has been suggested for those who do not know the area, that we should meet up somewhere near by then go in together. I suggest a good place to meet would be close to the M1, junction 36 from the North/ junction 35A from the south. Ther is a good place to meet on at the service area just off the roundabout at the juncion of the A61 and A616. For those who want to go straight there or are coming over Woodhead. Access is via Mortimer Road from the village of Midhopestones on the A616 - its easy to find as its the only left turn in Midhopestones (dont turn rt when coming from the North or we will loose you on the Strines!!).

Time- around 11.30 it will take about 10 minuits to get to Cubley Hall from there, John the landlord suggests that if we get there about 12.00 there should be plenty of room to park in the carpark.
