Guys,

I appreciate I have asked for three sets. I will gladly drop one set and take two and wait for the next batch if required. If someone wants to 'bump' me then fine. :)

However, if the next batch is available before the summer then I will only take one set (and be 'bumped' twice!)

Regards

John

Does the above make sense?

Wayne,

I would prefer brushed, but if no-one else wants them like that, then it wouldn't be worthwhile as an order.

That said, I'm not in a huge rush, so am happy to relinquish my place on the list if you get more 'wants' than currently available, and will form part of another order for whatever you get (brushed/polished).

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Now I know that this isn't my thread, or project, but in the interest of keeping it all together and as fair as it can be, perhaps there should be another list.

Whilst "First come, first served" is a valid principle in a free-market economy (and Obviously Wayne wants to get his investment back, as he has had money tied up for quite a while), maybe it is a tad unfair on the likes of Cliff who got on the original list, and only by luck saw this one (only used as an example :? :? ).

Now, the original list(s) filled up quite quickly last August, and maybe not everyone still wants/needs them now as things change - but i wouldn't want to see someone disadvantaged because they happen to be working away for a few days.

I realise that there are more available this time than there were last time, and they are all polished, however, going from information gleaned by reading the thread, I would propose that we have two lists - one for the current supply of polished ones, and one for a possible (near?) future order for brushed ones (and maybe even more polished ones!!!).

Also, anyone who joins the 'new' list may have to expect to be bumped by previous tennants of the earlier list (although due to most people being flexible/sensible/polite/courteous this is unlikely to occur - especially as there are more now in stock than originally planned for!!!!), also, it may be unreasonable to expect Wayne to hold stock of the current items whilst placing a 'new' order for brushed ones, so I would expect that such an order wouldn't be made until the current stock is sold, so maybe people wont want to wait, and will 'swap' lists???

........Of course, you may feel free to tell me to go away, and keep it all as it is now........(and if you do, just let me know and I'll delete this post)...... but in the meantime....

Good advice as always Dave. Thank you :)

So as not to keep people waiting for me to hear back from those that were on the initial list. I will send out a pm to the people that ordered them many months ago. Anyone that gets back to me within the week will be given preference. All other sets will be sent out to people that have placed an order since the initial list was made.

Looking at the parts I have here I am very happy with the quality of them. I will try to take a high res picture of the brushed finish part. The texture is "just" noticable when you run your fingernail across the surface.

I feel confident to place orders for additional parts from this company (polished or brushed) and should have them about 2 weeks after placing the order so there should not be too much of a delay in people recieving them.

I have spent the last hour preparing the post office paperwork for the people that have sent me addresses. (You wouldn't believe the work involved using the regular mail service here. 4 copies of everything)!!

I will try to get parts sent out to anyone from the origional list that has already contacted me in the next couple of days but I am struggling to find suitable packaging material so there may be a bit of a delay. I will edit the list as and when they are posted.

I will be happy to go with Pinkys list for now but would prefer to give preference to people that have been waiting months.

I have sent a reminder to all who was on the origional list (excluding people that I have already heard from).

Hopefully everyone that is still interested will add names to the lists or anyone that contacts me I will edit as reqd. If I do not hear back within a week then existing parts will be available for people that have just joined the list.

If it is looking like we need more parts then I will go ahead and reorder another batch.

I am not sure what the minimum order quantity is for the brushed parts. I will try to get some more info from the company in the next few days.
