That may explain why no one seems to know about the stand, someone managed to lose it. :poke:

If no one has booked a pitch with Club Lotus it may be too late even if you can find the bits and pieces :(

I've started a thread in the Moderator area to try and see if anything has been done, or if we can pull the rabbit out of the hat and still do it in time......

Hi, if you'd like a LEC club stand as usual there's still time but you'll have to be quick as we have to submit the final floorplan to Donington in 7 days. As you're all coming to Doni it would be a shame not to have a stand in the hall - even though it'll be blisteringly hot and sunny outside....

We sent an invite to NIgel just after Christmas but have heard nothing. I'd assumed that you'd be coming as you always do and as the stand is often booked at the last minute so we've not been chasing Nigel - but as the show's now only two weeks away I thought I'd post a reminder.

You can eithr email me at alan@clublotus.co.uk or call the Club office on 01362 694459 to let us know if you'll be coming.

Hope to see you there.

Best wishes,

Alan

Hi Alan,

Having conversed with Sy, I did send an email to Annemarie on this subject a couple of weeks ago. I'll re-send it to you, so you know the situation :D

Okay, just to try and keep everyone informed with what is (or isn't) happening at the show......

....due to the fact that the 'show stand' props and equipment are in storage with Nige, who isn't about at the moment, a decision was made that we would not be in a possition to have a 'formal' presence at the show this year, as anything we did would probably be a bit of a let-down.

I did send an email to CL, but it appears that Alan hasn't seen it, so I have re-sent it to him.

THIS IS ONLY A ONE-OFF & WE'LL BE BACK AGAIN NEXT TIME :D

There will still be the usual convoy from the services to the show, and no doubt a fair bit of chinwagging in the car park, and inside the show itself.

I have suggested that some people may wish to 'go for a scenic drive' in the afternoon on the Saturday, and Neil was looking into a suitable route for us.....

....my vision for this would be a convoy(ish) drive, following simple directions for those who get lost! - and ending up somewhere suitable for afternoon tea.

This will all depend on the weather (up to a point), and don't forget that there is racing on the track if anyone wishes to watch any of that.

Suggestions as always are welcome - nowt is set in stone, just trying to actually organise something so people can't complain that we didnt do anything

Now the idea of lots of lotus's to look at and the a nice little jaunt into the country or somewhere and followed by afternoon tea is sounding rather appealing, a grand suggestion Mr Pink.
What does every one else think? Or is it just me that likes the idea of food in general!! :D :D

Mr P, that is a great call. I'm sure that anyone on Dave T's convoy to the coast from Norwich at Lotus's 60th will agree that it was absolutely brilliant.

My Elan is usually alive at this time of the year but with rubbish weather we've had lately & roads still being salty, it is still laid up with a flat battery.
With this week's rain washing the salt away, I think I had better get it ready. 8)
