As soon as I've confirmed what time the main convoy is going to leave the services, I'll start working out some timings.
I'll also try to acquire a co-pilot (phone operator) for the journey to coordinate things en route.

I believe all the roadworks on the M1 south of J19(M6) have now been completed but the authorities are keen to make use of the variable limit even when there is no need for it. & I believe you are likely to get caught if you speed through these.

Timings:
I'm not joining until halfway along so here goes...

I've worked these out at 60mph (except where noted below) with an ETA in Donington of 0900
Please join the M1 1 minute before your scheduled meeting time & drive at a sensibly lower speed & check your mirrors for Elans. When they pass, simply follow along.
The 2 service stations are not stopping points. Stopping will affect timings.

How would you suggest doing that? I'll set mine by one of my radio clocks at home. They sync up with an atomic clock in Rugby so should be fairly accurate..

I'll sync with the BBC news then!

Looking forward to it! :burnout:

Mobile phone networks all transmit time signal so assuming your phone is set to auto update time I'd suggest using that....if we really do need to be that accurate.

Great plan tho, looking forward to a great day out.
