Well, we must loose the LEC stand more often. An excellent plan with wonderful weather and almost perfectly executed except for:

1) Neil driving through a lay-by (presumably to try to let the stragglers catch up) but just ended up splitting the lead bunch with half a dozen cars.
2) Me decided to come back to the hotel and everyone followed me, leaving Neil, Rip and Paul by themselves.

Methinks you needed the master of afternoon drives- the only ones I lost en-route were Gary Harvey [deliberate] and Dico who can't drive the beast fast enough to keep up with a three wheeled pram.

I really miss u guys

Hope Sunday is good for you also.

Well, obviously it wasn't as well organised as a 'DT Productions' drive, but I still enjoyed it
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I used that track on the 2007 LEC IOM bash video. "Been driving all night my hands wet on the wheel"- just as we came out of the mountains with the sun rising as we screamed down to Creg-ny-ba hotel, hoping the brakes would work at the bottom.

If losing the LEC stand results in another run half as good as this one then by all means lose the stand again. Seriously though, next year can't we have both?

This run, as far as I am concerned, was absolutely brilliant. Massive thanks to Dave and Neil for planning and organising the run (these things don't happen by accident!) and those thanks repeated again to Neil for performing a superb "lead out" for us all.

It was a first rate job chaps. Thanks again.
