I've also been looking at a Euro Provider
Premium
European
Cover
Duration
National Cover
Onward Journey
Home
Start
£25.50
5 Days
No Excess
AXA

Found this on Money super market but when I went to book this today it said my car's too old
Thought I had this sorted

Steve
The AA used to do 5 star travel ins but you had to pay a premium if your car was over 20. Don't know if its still available though :?: :?:

I'm fortunate in that both my Lotus are on a single classic policy that includes Euro breakdown cover

Just a few tips
Calais to Ypres(Leper in Belgium ) about an hour
Try not to miss the service at the Menin Gate at 8 pm. Last Post etc very moving
Cars begin to assemble from 8 am in the square on the day- strongly advise to top up tanks Wednesday as you do not want to have to fill up during event as we did last year!
Coffee and croissant at registration but have breakfast in hotel/B&B first
Good lunch and breaks seem to be at different venues this time
The pace is " brisk " but not :burnout:
Lets all pray for good weather :D
See you all at Ariane or in the square for a drink Wednesday afternoon

Thanks for the advise Dave, we will be going to Menin Gate on the Wednesday (as it's the only night we can).

I've got my European cover sorted (through my own insurance company, £25 single trip including recovery).

MOT on Wednesday  squeaky bum time (I know :bonk: should have had this sorted  it's an easy one to over look)

Yes, thanks Dave we will also be going to the Menin Gate as we are in same B&B as Steve & Lesley probable be in convoy.
Have TomTom mapped to B&B already and everything else is coming together so should be ready to go come next week.

Weather not looking bad, lets hope it sticks. Looking forward to it.

We'll be in Dunkirk at 1100hrs so should be at Ypres for lunch if anyone else is going to be there.

I'm on a 12.55 ferry from Dover, arrive Calais 15.30, Ypres about 16.30. So if you are still sitting outside a cafe, sorry bar, will see you then.

Failing that Menin Gate 8pm or somewhere for dinner??

Well we are on the 8am ferry to Potsmouth, a reasonably leisurely drive to the Tunnel for the mid- day slot (between 12-2 pm) Probbably get the 12-20 shuttle which gets you to Calais at 2pm allowing for the hour difference,an hour to Ypres, park at hotel then to the square for a Famous Belgium Beer or two about 4 ish :

I'm sure we will meet up either en- route or in Ypres :P

Which hotels do you sleep?
We come Wednesday evening with our camper(motorhome) and Elan so if we can meet we might already have a beer together!

All, please remember: First Elan team to arrive (probably Ivo) at the end stop has to reserve a diner table for our Elan Friends!

Henk
I'm not sure but I don't think we are all eating with the main group in the evening, so better make that table reservation for lunchtime instead :D :D

You are not serious... Pass on a luxurious Belgian meal, for only 15 Euro's
Funny people!

But I propose to reserve both then: Lunch AND diner :-)
