SE alloy wheel

Postby Benmac » Thu 22.08.2013, 13:28

Now my Elan has gone I am getting rid of bits and bobs I have collected over the years.

I have a single SE alloy wheel. Its clean and straight and while there is no significant kerbing or other damage it could do with a refurb to make it tip top.

I’ll get some snaps up later hopefully.

£15
Ideally I’d like the buyer to collect from Warrington but if you want it posted we’ll need to work out how best to do it and the cost!

Hi Ben,

If no-one else has already been in touch, I'd like the wheel (one of my track set is buckled slightly). I would need to arrange collection/postage though, so if it's in your way and you want shot of it, then i understand if you sell to someone else.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Dave, no problem, it's yours. I'm sure we'll be able to sort something out, I occasionally go past that way.

Sounds like the start of a plan :D

I'll send Dico a message on spacebook to see if he can do the first pick-up :?

All being well will collect one day next week. Won't be Monday or Tuesday.

Love always, Dafman :(

Looking like a good plan is in action, now whos crossing the border? Me or Mr Dico Moore?
Is there a tyre on it? If so can I get it remover for ease of transport (so I can get in the elan boot)

That's getting far too advanced in the plan, yet Nick!

No idea if there's a tyre (none was mentioned), but if there is, it can be removed and flung in the local canal :-D

Hello gents. Thanks for the money Dave, I'm all ready when Dico is.

No tyre fitted so nice and small. A mentioned to Dave I realised the other day that I have another one. Similar cosmetic condition but does have a small ding on the inner rim edge. Looks small enough to be either fine or repairable but if anyone wants it they're welcome.

There is a set of wheels on Ebay if anyone is interested. They look a bit pricey, but if the condition & tyres are good, maybe they are OK: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lotus-Elan-M1 ... 1c35f75311

And if anyone is prepared to pay that sort of money, I'll save you another tenner - now that I've got a good set of 4 (and I'll throw in another one with a rim dent FOC)......

That means for ONLY £780, I'll let you choose what tyres you want and deliver them in person (probably anywhere in Europe) - and I'll still make a good profit :-D

Does anyone know the original colour spec for the S1 Oz alloys, I managed to get the originals for mine from a previous owner and want to fully refurb them in the right colour!
