Hood stowage cover protector

I have just managed to have fabricated a clear plastic film to stick on the hood stowage cover to stop it being scratched when the hood is in the raised position. After a very wet trip to the Brands Festival last Saturday, the film appears to have done the trick . I have been to the suppliers to see if more can be made, and at what cost. This can be done if there is enough interest as the design and set up costs have already been incurred in my 'test' run. I would expect the price to be approx. £7:50 + P&P to U.K addresses. The film would come in two halves. Anyone interested? You know what to do.

I could be interested. Do you have any pics of this fitted to the car? Does it cover the entire hood cover or just the area where the seal touches the cover?
What material is it made from? wold it survive in a hot climate?

I remember looking at an Elise here a few years ago and it had chip protectors fitted. I believe they were made from Mylar? and were barely visible unless viewed closely.

Sorry to ask so many questions. I was thinking about this when I had my re spray done last year but wasn't sure what it would look like or if it would survive in this climate. So decided against it at the time.

I will try a picture, but as it is a clear film, it is difficult to see. It is only wide enough to protect the cover where the hood contacts, about 30mm wide. I will contact the supplier to ask about the heat.
