Re: Hood stowage cover protector

Postby TOWATL » Sun 06.10.2013, 07:45

Hi!

I had the same issue on my car and took it to a workshop in town that specialises in car foil advertisments. They made me a thick clear foil with the exact shape of the stowage cover and applied it for me as well. Took them only a day and cost about 250 Euros, including the cleaning and polish of the cover to remove the markings the hood had left there.

I am rather pleased with the result.

Cheers,

O.K folks, the parts are due to be collected during the next week, I will then sort out packaging. As they can only be rolled up, they will be quite bulky, but not heavy. So I will sort out postage costs.

So I'm guessing it would fit cars with twin bubbles as well?

If it does I will have one

Thanks

If the original hood still fits around the bubbles, it should be ok

Quick update, I have been in touch with the supplier, but the guy dealing with this is off work at present, so I will ring again next week and hopefully speak to him.

Sorry for the delay guys, but I now have a pile of plastic parts on the kitchen table waiting to be packaged and despatched. I am at present collecting an amount of cardboard tube as this is the only way I think they can be
packed without kinking the film. If all those still interested would like to PM me your LEC name and name and postal address I will reply with payment details. I think £10 is about right, and any left over will be
forwarded to Geoff for the LEC kitty.
