That's true Neil

now called my front garden!!!! On right hand days its loud.

Shame they never fixed that turbine noise emitted at the front- itd never be a stealth fighter. You can hear that from about 5 miles out. Its only marginally quieter than the reheat noise from the back. You've got enough time to have a cup of tea before you need to do anything about it. Modern technology!!!! Its only about 25 already. About time they got something with a quiet warp drive

I saw BigErch at the end-of-season Club Lotus North-East lunch meeting at the Lairhillock Inn on Sunday. Something I wasn't expecting to see, however, was John D's ex-Elan. It's still immaculate. I didn't find out who now owns it, as I only spotted it as I was leaving.

Hi Rob,
The Monaco White SE is mine.
I was giving it a wash after travelling down to the NEC for the Classic Car Show the day before.
4hrs round trip went without any issues (in fact no issues at all since I purchased this 6 months ago now from Lotus Newcastle) great fun and lots of waves/thumbs up going down the M6!
Only one M100 Elan at the show that I could see (aqua green colour, with a hard top on it!).
This was on the Lotus Drivers Club stand, who were very friendly. The only owners club who offered to open a car and let me sit in it (an Elan +2)! This was in marked contrast to the Ferrari Owners Club stand which was "roped off", with a strict door policy.
Its a shame I did not see you go past on Sunday, I would have waved you in for a chat.
Hope your Sunday drive went well, you were quite a few miles from Lancs.
All the best,
elanandy

Hi Andy,
what a coincidence, my lad was at the NEC on Saturday and actually saw your car there, in fact him and a few of his mates were parked three cars away from you (Matt was the young lad in the Flares, yep Flares) and they were very complimentary about the car.
Sadly I wasn't in the Lotus on Sunday as we were attending a Children in Need MINI run round the Wirral with some friends from the Mini Scene. If I had been in the Lotus I would have certainly popped back for a chat.
Glad to hear the car is behaving and that you are enjoying the M100 experience :burnout:

Red Elan personal NI reg XJ.... (or XL....) on A45 between M45 and Braunston 10.53am today. Car heading south towards Braunston.

I was in black Nissan Navara (4x4 pick-up): flashed at him but not surprisingly got no response!

Any takers?
