Peter, I have found the blanking plug and hood repair material. I'll try and post a picture tomorrow but PM me your address and I'll send them off to you if the plug is what you're after

Not a very good photo but the material is used by the horse riding fraternity so is strong but flexible and a lot better than old seatbelts IMHO. The plug is A100V0628H - item 5 in 14_07A
