Pinky II

Postby Monty » Fri 01.04.2005, 20:45

I`ve only had Pinky II for about 3 week and project creep is showing it`s ugly head :-/. So thought i`d start a new thread to keep things in one place.
Up to now i`ve:-
Front Drilled and grooved disc with green stuff pads. (off Pinky)
Refurbed 2 of my wheels £120 ::) 2 new proxies tyres. £130.

Image

Bought Those TopEnd pipes, stripped them and had them bling with the heatshields.

Put those bits back on the Car.

some of the things already done to the car:-

Next job is to do a Front and rear suspension rebuild even thou theres nothing wrong with the wishbones etc, just not happy with the ride height, so i`ll be using pinkys bits ie. wishbones, AVO shockers etc.

After all you have been through with Pinky I, I consider this a brave effort Monty. Keep it up!

Costas

I know it`s sunny out there, but i`ve took Pinky II of the road and stripped the suspension down today. I`ve removed the bottom wishbones and damper & spring, the top wishbones have already been replaced and are the S2 version ;D, it`s also got new drive shafts, trackrod ends and top balljoints. Just got to do a paint job and waxoyl in side the chassis. Then i can get the new bottom wishbones on and the AVO dampers.

Now the dampers and springs i`ve taken off are fed spec and the Pink beast looked like an off roader. ::) So i`ve compared the Fed`s to the original damper and spring and they look like the same size so i can only asume that the rating in the fed spec spring is a different and cause the higher ride height. ???
