Trimmers in Cheshire

Postby Squirtydog » Sun 16.03.2014, 10:32

Hi,
Does anyone know a trusted vehicle trimmer in the north? I live in Wirral but regularly visit Leeds also so would travel for good service.
I am tidying up the door cards (lower insert and elbow recess) and am struggling. The elbow recess is the real tricky one. After the original grey leather separated from the panel I have attempted recovering it myself. Bought some slightly stretchy red vinyl and Alphabond 175 adhesive from Woolies Trim
(http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/p-1263-he ... esive.aspx)
The inital result was very pleasing and I was quite chuffed at a first attempt but... It still separates in the heat. I either need some advice or just get someone to recover the panels for me.

Having trawled the threads in this section I have seen some people have been to Top Gaiters for some bits. They sell this...

...any opinions? The adhesive would still be the issue.

You can see a pic here.

For the lower panel I have used the carpet template to cut a shin sheet of ply and covered with the same vinyl. Think it will look good when fitted.

Any advice appreciated.
