Yep, the car is in the current issue of "Chicane", the Lotus Drivers Club magazine.
It is their hundredth issue so they were looking for some M100 content.
I cobbled together a short history of my Lotus ownership over the last 27 years or so, culminating in the purchase of
M100 TWO
I'll bring my copy along to Bo'ness on the 9th.

That'll be good. Scott wants to see your car too. And also wants to see BobD turn up in one of his 3 XL's he has for sale

Alan, I only recently discovered you had an Elan. Was red Esprit last time wee met, I've been away from Boness for a long time it seems. I saw Chicane advertised on face book so ordered a 100th copy, good article you wrote.

Just a thought Alan, but can you scan in the article about your Elan onto the LEC site under a new topic and then anyone else could see the write up. I'm sure John (M100 two) would like to see the article. Or would it infringe publishers copyright ??
Thinking of going to Blowness tonight but its shite weather down here in the Borders and predicted to get worse early evening

PS What are the chances of seeing Booby Dickerse in a Lotus tonight ?

Rambo, its Wed 9th, and I haven't seen Booby in a Lotus for years. Does Cherry still have the yellow VW 911 ?

Nah. I think he flogged it back in Germany at a profit

He has an Exige Cup on order, if not already driving it

PS I posted on here earlier that I had mad a mistake

and it was Wed the 9th not Wed the 2nd but the site was temporarily screwed up and scrambled my message and spat it back out

Yep, I sold the Esprit a few years back.
It went to Edinburgh but sadly I have not seen it since.
I look forward to some seeing some more Elans at Bo'ness next Wednesday
Cheers

I'll check the copyright situation. I never signed anything over to chicane so I assume I am still the copyright holder of the text and the photos.
I suspect Bobby will be in his MX5 next week ...... but you never know.

I still have tax on my white Elan (bought from Chris Pegley). Are you guys definitely going Tuesday? Kids have been ill but if they are OK, I might swing up. Colin the owner is a client of mine 10 years or so past and would be nice to come up in a Lotus, I meant to de-tax it last month but HMRC have kept me plenty busy so its on the road for another month before it gets "the treatment".

Club Lotus meeting is Wednesday.
Yes I will be there.
I am just back from the Breakfast meet at Inchyra Grange.
We had a couple of M100's there.
I spoke to Bobby and he intends to bring the green Excel along to let Scott have a look at it.

It's Wednesday Jeemy - not Tuesday. And unless it is absolutely slashing down there should be 3 M100's there for definite. Four if your coming. B( . )( . )by hates it when the baby Elan's are outnumbered by their big brother

EDIT Typed the above at the same time you were typing Alan

PS that's a rather long breakfast

I'll be there, probably also Jamie so that would be 5 x M100's...

Great to see four M100's at Bo'ness last night.
More than any other model!
Pity Jeemy could not make it, maybe next time.
There are regular breakfast runs now taking place on the first Sunday of each month, it would good to see more M100's going along.
Details available on the Lotus Ecosse facebook page or the Lotus Forums LEGS group.

Enjoyable night, good to put some faces to names!, I was quite surprised at the turnout by the end of the night and some bonny cars to ogle.

Four times more M100's than any other Lotus marque

Poor Bobby nearly had a heart attack when he saw them all. And it could have been worse - we could have had 6 on the night. Good turnout. Long may it continue. The M!00 is alive and kicking in Scotland
