Sylvie and myself shall attend the day and diner,

at the moment we just open the opportunity of a Lille diner wednesday evening (we work during the day like most of you, i guess) or anything else on friday... feel free to make proposals, i have some local contacts.

Lille is a nice town to visit, drink (eat) and spend money.

This looks like one of the most fun events on the continent. Someday I hope to attend. I had thought that this was the year but it is not to be.

It is Elan FuN!

But also with a Vel Satis, and hey, perhaps even with a 530i touring this year

Seems that Henk-Jan will be there - that's great news of the week ... :D

OK then, if some are interested in , I confirm :
(Theelanman, let me know)

1°
I can coordinate a diner (not for 143 teams ...) , restaurant in Lille, France,
( one hour from Ieper) ,
wednesday 28 evening around 18"30 'O clock .
(Also : there are hotels of course around Lille if someone is looking for one).

2°
If some are interested in and arrive early, a visit of Lille could be possible wednesday, middle of the afternoon,
for those who would like to visit this town.

or 3°
Alternatively, visit of Lille could also be possible friday morning.

There is a 'citypass' to visit Lille, or a 'bus tour (11 euros, one hour and half, English spoken of course).

Let me know if 1° or 2° or 3° is of some interest for you and compatible with your Schedule.

Pascal & Sylvie , France.

Sorry to say that Lyn and I won't be there this year, circumstances prevent us coming. Hopefully next year may be different.

Hope everything goes well and it is another great success.

Sorry to hear that some nice LEC folks can't make it to Ypres this year due to personal circumstances.
To all of you: Best of luck and hope you get health or other matters fixed soon!!!

I'm only havin' minor troubles now.... Dead battery. So: charged it over night... Nothing! Hmmmmzzzz. perhaps it is not wise to power all power sockets in my garage together with the light switch (safety first) So next night i gave it another go, this time I left the lights on :poke: Yesterday morning: No show again  So pulled one of the 2 batteries i have in stock (a gift from a colleague) and let it trickle charge over night. Removed the old battery this evening and: ...
New battery is to large and won't fit :chair:
So tomorrow i have to buy a new one. Lets see what will break down for Ypres now :censored:

Just got back from YLD, a good trip spoilt somewhat by the cold from Hell hitting me on Wednesday. :(
Fairly brutal on the car this year and suffered with odd problems like winking headlights and the wiper linkage disconnecting on the A3 in a monsoon but still well worth it :D
