A Pillar seals, Rubber alternative found!.

Just watched youtube of seals Jamie found.
They would be fantastic.

Jamie fitted A seals to my car last night in car park at Club Lotus meet. A half hour job (in the dark). They work a treat. Glass doesn't rattle when door is closed now. Some minor adjustments at windscreen top which just shows no two Elans are identical.

Once roof seals fitted we'll get some photos posted.

Here is the latest version roof seal I have done, there are a couple of modifications from the last ones, which has made the lip over effect work even better, plus an easier adjustment for fine tuning fitting on the hood, test fitted these today, they work fantastic and look incredibly clean and tidy compared to the burst sponges, for anyone interested I have enough material to make a good few sets of these.

Remember this may look just like your original seal but it is EPDM rubber which has outstanding heat ozone and weather resistance (unlike a sponge )

Lol indeed Jon!, the falling pillar is the seal from Hell!, im still working on the design for those, il keep you posted.

One more pair of A post seals are available Chaps (and possible Chapesses ) I don't think there will be many more of this particular type to come unless we can find the source or if there are any more up in the containers which is doubtful. I have been working on the B post seal and I think I have something potentially very promising, I have devised a way of replicating the top curve (in EPDM Rubber) and all I have to do now is finish off the design for the bracket, I don't want to use the original bracket for various reasons but if im able to make up the brackets myself without them being to much of a job then I should be able to do a few sets for peeps if anyone is interested.

Its not a new vocation its a new life I need mate, away from breathing in all that rubber dust!, and the fumes from BP , Im thinking of moving to Gairloch on a last chance powerdrive to escape the Rat race

I know mate, I've spent many a fine day driving in the Borders and walking in the Moorfoot and Lammermuir hills, I love it down there but my heart is in Wester Ross

Have bought a set of A seals from Jamie and would like to thank him for a great job and service.

Finish is great, have only trial fitted 1 side so far without any sealant or fixings and results are good. The bottom part is slightly different but when secured in my opinion will only improve things more.

I bid on your A pillar seals on Ebay and you sent me any e-mail stating you are LEC. I have just got a 1991 se turbo but the A pillar seals are going as always. Could you give me a price if you can get any more. which would be of great help.
