I would recomend this as a great day out for everyone (with or without an elan) - something for all the family, free entry, and anything you wish to give goes to a very worthwhile cause.

It's not just a 'local' event (although it gets good local sponsorship) - people travel from all over UK (and Europe) to display their exotic machinery - there's no snobery, and you can see a Morris Marina parked next to an Aston Vanquish, with a Dragster just across the way! - How often do you get people who are quite happy for you to pose in/with a McLaren, Bugatti Veyron or Mini 850????

I'm up for a convoy, how about we meet at the costa at Morrisons in weston as two years ago then pick up Ronnie and anyone else at the same place in Clevedon as last time? What does anyone else think or any other suggestions.

Costa coffee sounds good to me....... what time shall we meet?

Looking at the caring for cars website it says the event starts at 10am, so my suggestion would be meet at Costa at Morrison's for 9.00 am which should give those who wish partake in a coffee etc time to drink one and then move off to pick up those in Clevedon on route at about 9.40 ish.
Just a suggestion, but what do you think Dave ?

Costa coffee don't open until 1000, so getting a cuppa is unlikely to happen - but appart from that, aiming to leave at 0940 sounds about right, so I'll aim to arrive at about 0910 (leave home at 0900) with a brew from home in a Costa mug

Bad news (for me, but maybe not for anyone else ).......

....... went to the hospital this morning hoping to have my plaster cast off....

....no problem with that, but now in a 'restricted mobility boot' for the next 4 weeks - so I still can't drive

As such, I won't be able to make this one now (even if i had a driver for the car, it isn't in a condition to make the trip and still needs a day or so of work to get it ready for an MOT test, and whilst I have the time and inclination, I don't have the mobility).

Now, if there is anyone on here who wants my place on the entry list (not sure if they are up to capacity yet, or still have availability anyway), then I won't actually withdraw my entry for a week or so - you'll just have to say you're me at the gate, no bother.

(I'm a bit gutted, as this is probably one of my favorite car events yet attended )

Oh Dave I'm so sorry that's such a shame, what did you do anyway? It's times like this a third seat would be useful !

So if Costa is not open until 10.00 and Mr Pink is not available do we need to look at a plan B, maybe meet at Clevedon at Tesco car park or are there any more who would still like to meet up at Weston then move on to pick up at Clevedon, any suggestions what does anyone else think?

Dave, bizarre as it may sound, Lex is also in a bionic boot (you could compare spec)

I will more than likely be attending in a semi sensible vehicle, which will have space for more than one mobility challenged individuals

Would not want you to miss out (and you always give me a lift)
