Hopefully Geoff still has Martin's new injectors in his car...

Sush you. Haven't you told Martin that he missed my name at number 2 on the injector GB?
Anyway, too cold for me, off to Sardinia next week and Peter off to Newcastle when we get back so too much to do - maybe next year.

And now I feel bad - shortest, least accommodating GB in LEC history. AND I was willing to donate 100% of the 'profit' to the kitty. Forgot to make a profit though...

Careful now...I think we might get a nose bleed having reached the heady heights of 3 attendees!
Well done to Wayne for making the effort and for asking almost everybody in the pub if they were the "Lotus guys" before finding us. Good food and company once again.
Plenty of talk about brakes given that FredJohn had split a brake pipe and Wayne's calliper fell off! Hope we didn't bore you too much Wayne and hope the fixing goes well this weekend.
Roll on September.
ps FredJohn - your rear offside light was out when we left the pub and down the country lanes; it came on as you hurtled onto the motorway and seemed to stay on until I lost sight of you at the M40/M42 junction. Loose wire maybe?
pps Geoff - you lightweight. And where are my injectors (that I haven't paid for yet

)

Thanks Martin re sidelight: will investigate. At least my reversing lights weren't stuck on!
Sidelight must have stayed on, because as I was on A46 doing a steady indicated 80, a police car came up from behind and passed doing about 90, and thankfully ignored me. Phew.............
Good to meet up again and exchange views on things Lotus and LEC: roll on Sept (2ND week??) when maybe we'll get an injection of more people?

Good to meet a new face Wayne and hope you get the calliper/hub fixed this weekend.
John

Toyed with the idea but TomTom said 99 miles, just a tad bit to far!

TomTom says 1354 miles, temperature difference of 15°C and I won't be in the Elan. Bloody clever these TomToms.
PS slightly shorter via the Stelvio Pass.

So what is the attraction of Yorkshire (and whereabouts therein) that would justify such an epic endeavour?

There 'could' have been 4 but in true Lotus fashion when I got into my Elan to pop to the shops to get 'er indoors' a bottle of wine (as LEC compensation

) there was a whizzing noise from the off side front which, within minutes, turned out to be the alternator packing up

so, sorry guys, Lots of Trouble struck again. Not looking forward to replacing that part (again) as it took ages last time. Ho hum
Looking forward to September though.
regards
John

John,
in reverse order - Yorks is the Weekend of 6/7th Sept..... (dependant on Kim going into labour, depends on when I'll be up there.....there may be an extra celebration to attend

)
I can see no reason why I won't be able to attend my summons (at this point)

The leather bound moth collection was pretty full last time I saw it.
You'll have to keep my cake until October as I'll still be on holiday on the 11th.
